My dad does some part time work for Sigleys in Leek and he says they're nice folks.

I've been to a few funerals in Wolstanton organised by these people and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They're based in a side street down by the main church, St Margarets on the Wolstanton/ May Bank border.

I have had dealings with two very recently, the Co-op is one I would highly recommend, we were cared for by the Meir branch and nothing was ever too much trouble. Not an easy time for you whoever you choose, the second one I dealt with was Horace Dales on Anchor Road (under a new name now I think) and they were twice the price of the Co-op but just as good a service. All the best

Williamson Bros in Birches Head are also very good.

Another vote for the Co-Op in Meir from me - I sadly lost my mum in early February and they couldn't do enough for me and my dad. They looked after everything including the odd little stuff that you forget like sorting out the catering and a venue for the wake. Young woman in the Meir branch (Alison I think) was really good with dad and impressed me throughout - its a job that I couldn't dream of doing myself, so hats off to anyone who does it.
I've also been to a few funerals arranged by Geoff Tudor of Tudor-Davies in Burslem. Again, a really nice guy who will just sort everything out for you and take the hassle off your shoulders.
Condolences to you and your family Mark - we've never met and probably never will, but I've learned a lot in the last few months sadly, and it can be a lonely old place that you are in at the moment. If I can help (and I'm sure I speak for a lot of people on here) I will.
All the best mate,
Ian

Another vote for HWL from me, they did a lovely respectful family funeral for us a few years ago now. Chetwynd Street. Wolstanton but I'm sure they'll work anywhere in North Staffs.

HWL did a brilliant job for us when Dad died 18 months ago. They also provided the wake at very reasonable cost. My family has used them a few times over the past 40 odd years and would recommend them. In all honesty I would guess that most funeral directors offer the same caring service but it boils down to cost and location when deciding which to use.

Condolences Mark, hope you're as well as can be expected mate. We used Lymers for my Dad first and then my Mum, couldn't fault them, didn't really compare costs but they seemed reasonable enough. www.lymersfunerals.co.uk/

Another vote here. Our family has used these, too often this last few years.
