There has been a lot of negativity on here recently, some of it is starting to piss me off as well. So why not try and pick some positives about the club. We are not in a relegation battle at all, we are starting to assemble a decent team with some exciting young players, we are sat in the top half of the best league in the world, we are having our stadium expanded, the teams we are currently below are, let's be honest, considerably better than us with the possible exception of west brom.
Being a stoke fan has never been so good. Let's try and look into the positives of our great club, and look forward to next season, whoever the manager is. I personally hope it is Mark hughes. The next season could be something special, I really believe that, and I am normally a really negative cunt.

It happens to managers, I think he has achieved what he could and we need a new face. Thanks for what he has achieved and ive enjoyed loads of it but now is the time to move on I am afraid. We have stagnated

If you don't look negativity you won't like this statement
We've spent millions on a squad that looks slow and old. Our 'better' players, our most expensive players are not played or will move on in the summer. We rely on regulars who simply aren't good enough at this level anymore, in the name of 'Grit' and 'Passion'.
Most of the young players you speak of will be leaving in the summer, or the summer after that. Why are we still relying on Crouch, Walters, Whelan, Adam, etc?
We have a manager who has no plan B, and a plan A which is increasingly looking poorer and poorer.
Yes we're 9th, but this is the poorest Premier League in a long time
Yes we're not in League One, but we haven't been there for 15 years. At some point people need to move on.
Yes we've faced much worse, but all clubs have. Why are we an exception?

Two unforgivable cup exits mixed with a few four goal thumpings and a baffling selection of team plans. Something is not right.

But man city was unlucky slightly, chelsea we ran close, liverpool was just a few mistakes. That leaves palace and spurs. Spurs can smash any team when they turn it on, they are that good. I can't argue with the point about various team selections

Nah i'm sorry, the negativity is completely 100% justified, from the outside you could say "look at them, mid table premier league and still moaning" but we all know we're going backwards
We've gone from looking like we might be on the verge of something special, people saying we were a decent midfielder away from Europe to what we are now..
We've gone backwards and we've spent millions doing it, we've spent so much time and money trying to replace N'zonzi and we've still FAILED to do so, to the point where Hughes has changed formation completely to try to negate the issue
I respect Hughes for what he's done with us, the players he managed to get (although he has pissed several off and froze them out the team) but i wouldn't give him another penny to spend, something has gone sour, i can't take another window of seeing obvious weaknesses in the team and Hughes going all out to buy players to solve problems we haven't got
If he stays i hope to god he proves me wrong

Yes we've faced much worse, but all clubs have. Why are we an exception? This is an extremely competitive premier league. The lower teams are better, and the bigger teams are worse, so to deem this the worst league in a long time is strange. The point about adam, crouch etc. is very valid and I agree completely as is that about a plan B. No guarantee that the younger players will leave, surely there will be changes to allow them to play their way back in, so nothing is guaranteed yet.

He does sign some unnecessary players. Although, only 1 of this season's signings have not addressed a problem. We needed a keeper, a centre back, a winger and a striker, which we got. And having said that, allen was deemed a good defensive midfielder, our only other problem position, only for it to appear he was not a defensive midfielder

People on here really do need to get a fucking grip. This is getting pretty ridiculous now.
In our last three games we played well and won comfortably against Middlesborough, played really well and deservedly drew away at Man City, and played well and lost narrowly to Chelsea, who are going to win the title. We played badly today and lost, away from home against a Leicester team that won the league last season and have just hit some good form. Reading some of the shit on here you would think we were in a relegation dogfight. We are 9 FFS!
We have people making up stats and people making nonsensical comparisons with QPR. What I want to know is where are all you fuckers when we win? Where were you when we comfortably dispatched Boro or drew away at Man City? It is almost as if you have made up your minds, you are so determined to be right, that you are just sitting around waiting for the next defeat in order that you can feel good about yourselves?
And I am fed up of listening to the whole 'I can have my opinion' bollocks. By telling you you are talking shite and being overly negative we are only exercising the same right.
We won't be here forever. Sooner or later we will go the same way as all those other clubs, much bigger than Stoke, who are languishing in the lower divisions. Do you really want to look back on one of the most successful eras of this club and just remember sitting around constantly moaning and whining after every minor set back?

Given how negative charges work and all that, if cozmick and benji appear on the same thread do they automatically repel each other....or is it just that everyone else is repulsed by them????
One for Brian Cox to ponder methinks (and he could have a crack at the gravity crocodile while we're at it)
