Thank God we have Lee and Arnie, and if that sounds like a worrying way to start a rate the manager post...
We gave Leicester the chance to look half a league better than us, which they did, and won with ease. I just don;t see how we go forward from here without a complete defensive rethink - one week we play like heroes at the back, the next we're like bone china seconds. On the heroes weeks it's about the lads playing out of their boots, and when they fall short of that, if someone's carrying an injury or just off it for the day which is always going to happen towards the end of a season... yet again, the lack of a consistent, effective defensive strategy that can close an opposition down becomes screamingly obvious. It's not so much the personnel at the back, altho we need some younger legs for sure, this is training ground stuff and have to have a complete rethink about how we do this.
5 from me

4 from me a manager should be able to motivate his team for every match, Hughes doesn't seem to be capable of it, whatever he said at half time must have sent half the team to sleep as we were shit for 20 minutes (even shitter than the rest of the match). Again he picked Walters ahead of Diouf and Bony and Whelan ahead of Affeley. Whelan and Walters are both slow as fuck against a team that is known for its pace and counter attacking. IMO Hughes time as Stoke manager is nearing it's end. As I have said in another post there must be a manager out there who can get more than 3 or 4 good performances out of the squad we have. Gouranga.

Poor team to start with and no pace. Half time he needed to change things and didn't, leaving it until its too late as per normal.
then 2-0 down away from home he brings on crouch and adam to slow the team down even more. Speechless

4 ... I watched it on the TV. We were pretty clueless and one-touch football seems to be an alien concept to the entire team. If Johnson isn't fit - and he clearly had a terrible game today - then play Muniesa on the right, even in a 3-5-2. No point blaming one player though, we had too many who don't care enough.

2* Soul destroying shit again. Same shit different week. We had no plan at all, Walters was garbage along with the whole team with the exception of Sobhi. I would rather watch Pulis ball. Hughes out in the summer.

Playing Walters and Whelan is batshit mental.

Why he played Johnson Whelan and Walters while we continue to pay the wages of Muniesa, Diouf, Joselu, Imbula and Bony is just mind boggling.
Does he have no faith in his signings?

I think his hand was forced on a couple of decisions. For me, yesterday was about 18 months worth of chickens coming home to roost rather than outright poor decisions on the day.

2*
No football in the side whatsoever. Hanging Berahino out to dry. He gets 2 points for the subs, which I thought were positive and changed the flow of the game slightly, although that is probably pushing it a bit.
Great day out in Leicester spoiled by the 'football'.

3 - against a team who's main asset is speed upfront, the defence needs to play deep, you therefore need a very mobile midfield to get backwards and forwards, or to play deep and try and catch them on the break with speedy forwards, we don't have either, or at least he doesn't play the men with those atributes.

Bar 2 or 3 players, the rest looked as though they just couldn't be arsed.

2 - another clueless away performance, we just rolled over yet again. Why does he persist with Whelan in the middle, let alone play him as part of a 2 with Allen? And bringing on plodder Crouch? we were 2 down already, the last thing we needed was a player who contributes fuck all in these kind of games. In truth, everyone was woeful bar Arnie and Sob, who actually put in a shift, and Grant, who stopped them getting 5 or 6.

3 from me watched it on tv 1 for getting 11 players on the pitch + 1 for using 3 substitutes + 1 for getting the squad to the right game
Only players worth their wages; Arnie, Ramadan and Lee. Bruno made a reasonable attempt. All the others should donate theirs to the fans who travelled.
