Seems ott! But if they're not going to play the internationals in the first few friendlies then it's a good opportunity for them.
I wonder if they'll stay for the duration as the U23s have a friendly on Saturday and won't be needed by then.

Are there any plans to play any games in the gap in the schedule?
With the internationals not playing these two games, we probably need them.

Brilliant. Having experienced a couple of St Pauli games previously I recommend a visit to anyone. Not sure what type of crowd there'll be but it will certainly be an eye opener!!

Whoever is in charge of logistics at stoke is a complete and utter idiot. These things need to be sorted earlier, can't see any reason why these games can't be finalised in May and all announced together. The fans flying home from Switzerland on Thursday/Friday missing a game against Monaco on the Saturday because the club don't plan ahead.
Same for this St Pauli game. Tragic

Bad planning by Stoke in giving such late notice of the game. Good news for me though as I am in Berlin from the Saturday before. I just have to work on the missus that a trip to Hamburg for the match is worth it. So far she is still at the "it's only a friendly" stage with a cautious "we"ll look into it".

Tragic Arrangements for friendlies take 2 organisations to arrange. It's more important that the club arrange games against the best available opposition and maybe have to wait a while rather than arrange games against anyone so that games are more quickly arranged. It is FAR more important that games are arranged to suit the club's pre-season requirements than trying to knock up a touring schedule for some fans.

Guessoma Fofana, our supposed one time target, plays for them, does he not? A closer look before a bid, maybe? A friendly as a sweetener to a move?

The preparation of the team is quite clearly more important than the amount of fans able to travel to the games, however it's frustrating for those who do travel & miss opportunities due to the clubs inability to communicate with those who keep it going

Preseason has & is likely to always remain a nightmare for fans .. more so now the club has different demands & can solve many of their own logistical issues by chartering a plane
Experience has taught me if you intend following Stoke for any friendly( preseason or not) whilst there's clues out there then expect and allow for the unexpected
St Pauli I must admit wasn't on our radar & has ment last minute changes for our group ) but next week was always a blank on the canvas that was going to be filled .. only question now is if a midweek game will be added at very late notice .. if so Ill have spent longer away & been more places this season than the Germans did during their famous 39-45 preseason tour

Cant see the players being happy being away from family for two weeks (Switzerland), back for a week then away for another week (Germany).

My understanding was France was originally to be a training camp ( Amiens) which wa then cancelled.. & then put back on the agenda...
Still trying to find out how that week is to be spent.. it's pre season , people go away on the rigs for longer , guess if the mrs ain't happy she can always find a lad who'll buy her a 10 year old fiesta ( understand what your saying btw 😀 )
