Flights, hotel and trains from Geneva booked. It's not cheap but it could be worse! Looks a decent place to visit if anyone is considering Martigny. You going to the games Monday and Wednesday too? How much did you get your train tickets for if you don't mind me asking!? No only the Monaco game mate. Train was 35 quid return. You have to go onto the Swiss rail website and use a SUPERSAVER else it's twice that.

Has anyone looked at the venue for the AS Monaco match? It may as well be played at Northwood Stadium. Was looking at going until I saw that, may go to Leipzig instead. Get yersen to Leipzig..... booked me hotel today. 15 minute walk to the ground , few ales back in the center after the match and then some snappin' Just got a 6 hour drive ahead of me that's all I'm happy to get to the Leipzig even though I'm moving house about 2 days before, I'm sure the missus can hold down the fort. Just a matter of flights and then renting a bloody car as the airports are so far away.

Trains from Berlin take around 2 hours to Leipzig, your looking about £40 return which isn't to bad at all, considering Berlin airport is the only realistic destination to fly to for many on a budget

3 of us managed get flights to Berlin for £84 (Friday - Tuesday). Train to Leipzig was £41 return (takes 1hour 6 minutes). Back in Berlin Sunday for the world beer festival, sightseeing etc. Whole trip with hotels has come to around £200 each.
Love these Germany trips the club have been doing for the last few seasons. Hope they carry on for years to come, it's a great country.

German trains are efficient but we've had a few run ins with the plain clothes ticket enforcers. Not what you want when you've got a head ache

Out of interest is anyone other than me and my mate actually going to Martigny? 😂 I'll be in Chamonix an hour down the road on holiday for a few days but working out how to get to Martigny and back for the match is far more difficult than it should be! Last train back is too early and car rental is complicated. Might try paragliding over or something!

The Crewe friendly is listed under the U-23 friendlies now arranged whuch includes Chesterfiejd Solihull moors and Leicester Raid Based on previous seasons the Crewe friendly was never going to be a first team game, especially with Bolton fixture the day before. They may have done a 50/50 first team/u23 in both games, but they haven't done that arrangement since under Pulis (Newport games). Notice no one is complaining about a lack of Newcastle Town fixture yet...

Looking at who's going to be available for the first 2 games, looks like people like Sweeney, Imbula and Verlinden are likely to get good minutes?
Suggestion on the Sentinel podcast was that they'd maybe field 2 different XIs in each half of the first 2 games.
Grant Haugaard
Johnson Shawcross Wollscheid Pieters Bardsley Sweeney Muniesa Tymon
Adam Imbula Shenton Jarvis
Arnie Verlinden
Bojan
Berahino Crouch Ngoy
Not sure what the pecking order seems to be in midfield amongst the younger crop. Other U23s like Lecygne, Hill, Waddington may be in the mix for minutes - but with Afellay, Allen, Fletcher, Whelan and Cameron unavailable, it's a bit of a stretch.
Interesting to see if Tyrese Campbell travels.
Wonder if Moha is still at the club?

I think Telford and Tom Edwards would go and Moha as he is still on the books according to the official site. I wonder if U23s come back early before the Monaco game as they have a friendly the same day at Leek in think.
