Where's everyone who's going to the game drinking? Also taking suggestions from people who've been before.
Heard there's a Spoons near the train station in Leicester and there's a pub called the Countryman near the ground.

It's owrate and friendly enough, gets rammed but the beers pous in plastic beakers. If you're driving and get there early enough you can park round the back of it near Morrisons.

There's a Walkabout around 5-10 mins from Leicester train station (straight line down towards the city when you leave the station) if that's your kinda thing. They'll have any lunchtime kick offs in there as well.

'Spoons and Counting House are safe bets for away fans - you know what you're getting and they're much of a muchness.

There is an irish pub just 10 mins from the station - near the weather spoons i think it was. Just don't go there, lol.
Last year something was said out of turn (not by a stoke fan) and there was glasses being smashed all over the shop narrowly missing a women face. I won't be going there again,

I've also heard that Lamplighters (I think that's the name) is one to avoid if you fancy leaving with all of your teeth.

How far do the official coaches drop compared to the ground.

How far do the official coaches drop compared to the ground. I'm going to guess right by it, as it's a newer build. Need someone to confirm though.

Spoons the best option then to this holiday inn? Liverpool/Everton early KO - would have been decent somewhere to watch that!

Old Walkabout not turned into something else? Not yet mate. It's being renovated at the moment and will be a bar and restaurant called "Rickshaw Rick's". Due to open next month.

Spoons the best option then to this holiday inn? Liverpool/Everton early KO - would have been decent somewhere to watch that! There'll be plenty of places showing it in town; there's a new sports bar opened up not far from the station called The Locker Room and there's an O'Neill's pub (and others I'm sure). There's a new pub called Broood which has real ales and screens which might show the early kick-off match. Don't know how funny any of them will be about letting away fans in or showing colours though.

What would best shout be for away friendly pub, no mither but with the footy on? O'Neils? Depends on where you're parking and what you're after I guess mate and just how close you want to be to the ground. Definitely places to avoid, but I'd imagine that most would welcome away fans (not sure how strict they can be with colours, sportswear etc.) Some suggestions: - O'Neill's on Loseby Lane ( website - ignore it saying Leicester Square!) - Soar Point by DMU ( website ) Student heartland, but cheap and cheerful and nice spot to have a pint by the river if the weather's good - Bowling Green on Oxford Street ( website) Again, by the Uni, but not quite as 'studenty'. Relatively small place so might need to get there fairly early if you want a prime viewing spot. You're right opposite Swan and Rushes too which usually have a cracking selection of ales on (if that's your thing of course). The latter probably won't have the match on, but Bowling Green definitely will. - The Hind right opposite the train station ( website). Not been in there on matchday though so not sure what its policy is, but it has a small, 'local' pub feel to it and have heard it is 'away fan friendly'. Has screens so will probably show the early game. I've not tried The Locker Room on Belvoir Street ( website), but they'll undoubtedly be showing the game. And The Counting House - whilst pretty soulless - will probably be showing the game. Have seen this place get a bit 'messy' with away fans (not Stoke) in the past though.

It might have been fella. Shame, as it's usually not a bad spot for a couple of beers on a Saturday afternoon and they have decent Quiz Nights and stuff, but I can imagine it wouldn't take much for it to 'spill over' if someone took exception to you. I did hear about a couple of places it kicked off when Stoke visited in 2015, but didn't know about O'Neill's. There are a couple of 'Irish Pubs' I would definitely avoid though...

This looks spot on and should keep us away from pubs won't let you in etc.. and some of our lot entertained

It was a proper looking irish pub inside and i think it was 2015 where we had lots of trouble. Every year it kicks off! lol

The bowling green or swan and rushes are where I would recommend. Used to be the assistant manager at bowling green (it was called 'the polar bear' back then)
They're on Oxford road which is up from the ground, then left and walk in a traitor line down the main road for 5-10 mins
