Generalising about a team because of a few incidents is journalistically cheap and unprofessional. It would be like me referring the BBC as a nest of paedophiles. I mean just because members of their staff systematically suffered sexual abuse on Children and just because as an institution they covered up for generations; it would hardly be fair for me to paint all of their staff as kiddy-fiddlers. Would it?

Fabregas's reaction was straight out of the WWE manual - looked like he'd been on the end of a Stunner!

Why are you so bothered?
I fucking love this bull shit being spouted.
Do you not recall the early days in the Prem? We were accused of being like a rugby team. Bullying the opposition, only scoring from throw ins.. the list goes on
That's the kind of bollocks which made us so hated but at the same time...So feared!
Let them keep moaning and let them keep writing their bull shit. It's about time we stopped rolling over, letting teams smash us 4-0, and we got back our nasty tag.
The Brit should be a fucking bear pit and no team should get an easy ride.
If we'd have given Chelsea respect or Costa an inch.. they'd have smashed us 4-0 like Spurs have the last 3 games we've played em
Kick the fucker's. Get stuck in. Let the bell ends in London write their absolute shite whilst we hopefully get a team fighting for every tackle, pass, run and points.
I love the new influx of flair etc, but what's been missed out this season is.. the Stoke we know! The hard bastards just off junction 15. Where you dunna get an easy game!
I'll happily read the press moaning about us week in week out again. It's music to my ears.
Just so long as our lot give 200% just like they did Vs Man City and Vs Chelsea.

Makes you wonder why we replaced Pulis if we want this kind of image.

Makes you wonder why we replaced Pulis if we want this kind of image. Because this version generally gets us more points and higher up the table....

the actual report in question: "Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was absolutely right when he said "you can't go to Stoke and expect to win a game without a fight". For someone who is in his first season of management in the Premier League, he's worked that out very quickly. Gary Cahill, on the other hand, will know all about the Potteries and what it takes to win at the Bet365 Stadium. The Chelsea captain gave a penalty away but redeemed himself and his team with a well-taken goal which puts the Blues in what I consider to be an unassailable position at the top of the table. This time there was no Eden Hazard to bully, so Diego Costa was Stoke's target, and boy did they give it to him. If it wasn't Bruno Martins Indi dishing out the punishment then it was Ryan Shawcross who was putting Costa on notice that this was not the place that would suffer the Spaniard's antics. However, it was Phil Bardsley who stood out amongst the would-be assassins having taken a piece out of Costa earlier in the contest before totally disgracing himself with the sort of lunge on Cesc Fabregas normally associated with WWE. It's perfectly obvious to everyone that Chelsea are the team to stop - any further advance toward the Premier League title and sides like Stoke are not going to be pleasant about it." Genuinely don't really see much wrong with that write up to be honest...hoe fucking precious are some of our fans nowadays????? bloody hell, it wasn't so long ago that many on here would be bloody proud with that write up. All it says is that we weren't going to let Costa get away with his usual antics and that we stood up players and were heard. the only WWE mention is re: Bardsley's challenge...which was bloody terrible, can't really dispute that. I quite like the fact that the no one likes us attitude has returned. They've been whinging like pussies all day on talksport espescially that dreadful one eyed shit Jacobs. First game I've really enjoyed for a long while at home Saturday was. More please. Agreed. My Liverpool supporting mate also watched the game and said it was the best he's watched for some time due to all the tackles and argy bargy. I actually applause Costa because despite being a diving fanny at times he does like to get involved in the rough stuff and gave it back to Ryan and Bruno. Was a satisfying game to watch and reminiscent of a bygone era. The fact the London based media are up in arms about it, just shows how soft football has become.
