I think you will find it stems from Garth Crooks bullshit team of the week. Clearly makes his expert opinion from watching the MOTD highlights...

When we can afford to buy all the best players about, then they can talk! Until then, expect a few hefty challenges here and there!

the actual report in question:
"Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was absolutely right when he said "you can't go to Stoke and expect to win a game without a fight". For someone who is in his first season of management in the Premier League, he's worked that out very quickly. Gary Cahill, on the other hand, will know all about the Potteries and what it takes to win at the Bet365 Stadium. The Chelsea captain gave a penalty away but redeemed himself and his team with a well-taken goal which puts the Blues in what I consider to be an unassailable position at the top of the table.
This time there was no Eden Hazard to bully, so Diego Costa was Stoke's target, and boy did they give it to him. If it wasn't Bruno Martins Indi dishing out the punishment then it was Ryan Shawcross who was putting Costa on notice that this was not the place that would suffer the Spaniard's antics.
However, it was Phil Bardsley who stood out amongst the would-be assassins having taken a piece out of Costa earlier in the contest before totally disgracing himself with the sort of lunge on Cesc Fabregas normally associated with WWE. It's perfectly obvious to everyone that Chelsea are the team to stop - any further advance toward the Premier League title and sides like Stoke are not going to be pleasant about it."
Genuinely don't really see much wrong with that write up to be honest...how fucking precious are some of our fans nowadays????? bloody hell, it wasn't so long ago that many on here would be bloody proud with that write up, in fact i like the bit about Bruno and Ryan showing him that "this was not the place that would suffer the Spaniard's antics" as it implies Costa pisses about with his bullying antics left, right and centre but a team like Stoke will happily give it back rather than allow him to dictate proceedings.
The only WWE mention is re: Bardsley's challenge...which was bloody terrible, can't really dispute that.

Saying as we're such a team of wrestlers how come I didn't see any of our players lift any Chelsea players clean off the ground both feet? I can't say the same for Chelsea.

It would be remiss not to point out that while we've been playing nicely and having our bellies tickled v the big boys of late, we've actually received more media plaudits than ever before. 2 fantastic battling performances where we've made it anything but easy for the big boys and out come the media critics again. Keep the criticism coming I say. We are a much better and tougher proposition when the world is seemingly against us.

I'm detecting a pattern here. Oatcake: "hate the unwashed inbred Vile" Me: "I like Vale plus me dad's from Boslem" Oatcake: "Cardiff are horrible hate them" Me: "I like Cardiff, all the ones I've met are sound" Oatcake: "Garth talks rubbish, thought he was a stokie" Me: "always liked our Garth, down to earth, always says it how (he thinks) it is, ok he's not always right but who is" Yeah, soz about that lads and lasses
