We will go into the hull game a maximum of six points ahead of them , possibly three knowing our next game after that is away at Swansea another certain defeat so plenty for these players to play for about £100 million at the last count . Make no no mistake we are right in the mix third place between hull , Swansea and stoke city . if and when we get to 40 then people who need to leave Scholes , Cartwright , Hughes , Bowen neidwotsit , Joselu , woolscheid , Johnson Whrelan , shaqiri , imbula , Adam , Walters , Bony , Ireland muniesa , I'd also say now berahino will never make it here with this manager . thats one hell of a change and almost certain to end in tears but you don't make an omlette without breaking eggs . We don't have the kind of money necessary to replace that number with players anywhere near the quality required for the Premier League. We spent 28 million on Imbula and Berahino; but we really need to spend two or three times that to get a CM and a striker to compete even for a top 10 finish, let alone qualify for Europe.

We looked uninterested and piss poor to be honest! A lackluster and shocking performance today! Even Hughes hid his face in his hands in disbelief several times! Wonder who he will blame ? Maybe he's needs a mirror to give himself a clue.

Easy answer to all of that Hughes, you picked the wrong team.

He almost summed the performance perfectly when he said "we were a bit short, today". Actually we were a "bit shit, today".

So many times we deliver such dross, switch places with any of the bottom three and I think we would go down, such is our lack of fight and ideas. Seems after every international break we lose the next game. We get the occasional good result that gives us hope but this season we've been so unconvincing at times. Does MH have anything else to offer? I don't know what going on in the dressing room, there's no cohesion. The real source of my anger though is I picked a draw in my fantasy league knowing I should have picked the loss.

Evening all. Leicester City fan here, in peace as usual.
I enjoyed the win today, of course, but was quite surprised at how relatively easy it was. Recently, most games between City and Stoke have been a lot closer, but apart from Grant, Arnautovic and (when he came on) Adams, your guys didn't seem to be up for it. Is there a feeling that you are more or less safe, you are not going to get into Europe, so fvckit?
I was also wondering how Stoke fans feel about Robert Huth. It's a couple of years since he joined us, initially on loan, and I must admit that at the time I wondered why we were signing an over-the-hill donkey when we needed someone to get us off the bottom of the table. Which shows how much I know about football. He's actually become a real cult-hero at Leicester, and most City fans would say that his signing is the biggest single reason why we did the Great Escape thing in 2014-15. He was also a key part of the title-winning side last season. Clearly Hughes didn't rate him, but how did the fans feel?

But his signings, except Martins Indi, did not work out: Muniesa - injured more than half the time, Wollscheidt - dumbo on ice, Teixiera - not even a good pub player. He finally signed Martins Indi on a season loan and he has worked out fine, but not yet signed a permanent contract. All this was compounded by Shawcross having get back surgery which kept him out for a long time and we had to muddle through with combinations of Wollscheidt, Cameron, Muniesa and Martins Indi. Shawcross is about 85% of his old self but he'll be 30 next year.

Another game to question Hughes'game management. Contrast with Marco Silva of Hull who changed thngs around at half time with very positive results. Hughes rarely changes before 65 minutes or even later, stopping players having a significant impact. Why wasnt' Affelay given a go?

It might be that arnie and ramadan should swap sides during the game
Either way we have only two players with the strength power speed and skill to go past premier league defenders so they both have to play
Certainly today the score sheet gives a false reading. Arnie did score and the ref just made a mistake in not giving the goal

Our problems are still the same we're not trying to shoot from outside the box (only Charlie Adam tried) our full backs are very slow to pick a pass same for our two CM which force the four player up front to fall back and finally defense marking and positioning. We at least in dire need to find a solution to our slow passing problem to pick up the pace which will help us on both defense and offense.

Most games we look like the players have no idea were the forwards are. They take way to long to decide who to pass to and then they sign post it to our opponents who can intercept the pass or pressure the player and why, o, why do we pass it back to Grant from the half way line or give it to a player who is in the middle of 3 or 4 of the opposition. No wonder we only got two shots on target and why should the forwards make runs when the ball is going to go backwards.
