I wouldn't say he shirks hard work, in fact this season he's been doing a lot more tracking back and working hard. Again I don't know where this fad of calling out a player for being injured has come from, hardly his fault is it? Even less so calling him out for happening to come back for international duty. When picked he's one of our most creative players and we look a better side for him. I'm not calling anyone out pal. He's injured so can't play for stoke but a few days later kicks a ball for his country. Its a farce. The guy is not a low wage yet he's taking the club for a mug. Never like a player to come back from injury eh? Again the bloke's being hit out at for something that no-one has any evidence for. As far as i'm aware the decision was made not to risk him against Chelsea or City, in games where we needed wingers that could defend in a 442. I have no problem with that. Something similar in principle happened with Bojan, he didn't play many games in the last 12 months, so all of a sudden a collective decision was made to pretend he'd only been good for 8 games and was a lazy work shy luxury that we can't afford, despite being second top scorer last season. It took Arnie two years to shake that same tag for some reason. Nzonzi also had to shake it. Strange, almost self-spiting, sort of collective disparaging of any sort of flair players as soon as we lose a few games or they dont play a few.

Probably the most in love with himself stoke player ever?
I heard he arranged a threesome last night
Had a couple of no shows
And still had a great time

Now all the toys are back in the pram. Does anyone know if the little Munchkin's fit for this weekend?

That is friggin' ridiculous. So, he can play perhaps once every two months by the look of it. Seriously, letting him play for Switzerland after not turning out for us is looking like a bad call.

Absolute smokescreen no other club let's there player go out on international duty if they are not fit for the club, I honestly think we are waving goodbye to Shaq this summer.

I'm just gutted Verlinden is injured at the same time.
I think he's got the potential to be better than Ramadan.

Be delighted if we got our money back on him. Great player when fit and firing, no doubt about that, but the club cant afford for him to miss half the season, when that could stop/interupt flow/development of another player progressing in the team likes of verlinden, ramadan, n'goy.

Come on Shaq its just a game of football. Get yourself on the pitch if you want a move to a bigger club.
Hes doing himself no favours at all by acting this way

I've seen him play on both pretty equally tbh Grapey. The first game I saw him play he played on the right and destroyed a 21 year left back that Vale fans were wanking over and made Moha who was on the left look like the player he is!

Verlinden hasnt played a single first team game has he yet? He hasn't. I like Ramadan a lot but like Imbula (I don't think he'll go the same route and will have a top class career so don't think I'm comparing him) there are doubts flying about via DM because we daren't air them on here (like we did with Imbula when the Imbula wankfest was in full flow). He needs to up his end product fast really but that's about it and unlike the doubts we had with Imbula, I think that will come. I really like Verlinden, he's got the tricks, he's got a better shot than Ramadan, he delivers a better ball, he's super fast, I just think he's got more of the tools to be a top class attacker. This injury though is a massive worry. But we have 2 top class young talents on our books for the wing and that is very exciting.

What's the latest on the injury Bayern? Is he close to being back to training? I can't even remember exactly what it was.

Bizarre situation - letting him go and play for his country when coming back from injury, only to tweak it and make him unavailable once more for us. Well, that didn't go as planned....or there is more to this than meets the eye.
Either way, the odds are surely lengthening on his being at the club come the start of next season.

Think he did it in December and was meant to be out for about 6 weeks. But he's still not back yet. The last update was a couple of weeks ago where he was doing non-contact training.

Its funny I was half expecting this news. The guy clearly thinks he's better than our club.Time to put this one down to experience and move him on. Although it will be interesting to see who is interested and how much they're prepared to pay for the waste of space!

If he is only fit for international games, isn't it time to ask the Swiss FA to pay his 80k a week wages?
