How many of him were there on the pitch?
I rarely notice stand out performances by opposition players, and maybe I noticed him more because of the rave reviews he gets these days. But bloody hell, for all the talk of Leicester winning the title by foul means, the main reason was probably having the equivalent of 14 men on the pitch every match.
Fantastic player.

Brilliant footballer and watching him today makes Leicesters league title last season seem more realistic.

Fantastic player. Keeps things simple and makes everything look easy. His work rate is phenomenal, and he deems to steer clear of the type of cuntery that several of his team mates revel in. Same with Willian, who was also excellent today.

Absolute class.
He's like a spliced version of Roy Keane, Zonz and Vierra....in a fun sized pack.....with none of the nastiness.
Let's be honest, he won Leicester that league, and he's pretty much won Chelsea this one.

And he let his talent do the talking too, rather than resorting to being a sly, cheating piece of scum like another Chelsea player whose name escapes me! A class above!!

Also doesn't get drawn into the cheating, whinging and diving that the rest of them employ. I can't remember seeing a player as quick and skillful as him for a long time.

Great player, and I actually thought Cameron and Allen competed really well with him... I agree, they hassled and competed physically.......but the difference in class when on the ball was like chalk and cheese. Kante just never seems to put a foot wrong with his distribution, and unlike many players of the same ilk, it's not all backwards and sideways. He just makes the whole team tick, and makes the game look easy.

Surely he is the best in the world at what he does? And he does it EVERY week.
With him in the team it's going to be difficult for anyone to stop chelsea dominating the premier league

Imagine a midfield 3 of Nzonzi - Kante and Bojan (pre injury)
But in all seriousness, Kante is the best central midfielder in the world

Yeah looking forward to seeing what he'd got today, but he wanner that good. Nor Willian apart from the free kick.
We more than matched them in open play.

The big difference between Kante and our midfielders...how many times they gave the ball away. Kante - probably zero; Cam & Joe...plenty (Sobhi even more so)
The ability to pass consistently to your own players is so important...yet we seem to struggle with the concept

I was surprised how good he was on the ball, don't think he wasted a pass. Thought Willian was pretty quiet compared to his last couple of performances against us.
I was very impressed with Alonso, he had Arnie in his back pocket and was also one of their biggest threats going forward.

I was surprised how good he was on the ball, don't think he wasted a pass. Thought William was pretty quiet compared to his last couple of performances against us. I was very impressed with Alonso, he had Arnie in his back pocket and was also one of their biggest threats going forward. This is closest to my truth. I did see Kante give the ball away at least once, but I thought we coped with him far better than most other teams have. It's a really risky set up Conte has created, Kante is usually able to patrol behind their amazing forward line, don't think we allowed him that space. Arnie, our real difference maker had a really uncomfortable ride. Question is, is it because he's not quite so cute cutting in from the right, or was Alonso that good? They didn't really do owt spectacular in open play. We were our own architects of destruction today. Sloppy passing, set piece howlers. Gutted.
