I would prefer our total or at least the vast part of our Aid Budget to be kept in reserve to be used for Emergency Aid , for such things as the Somalian famine. I think that taxpayers would be more able to see the point in it , if it was justified in this way. Also the organisations through which the money is channelled should not have executives on exorbitant salaries. Not for me to say but perhaps there are opportunities for older/ benevolent/ ex Mps to use their skills, contacts and influence to pay something back. www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2017/03/chief-world-act-avert-famine-somalia-170307064500288.htmlThere is also an argument for some of it to be diverted to tackle our homeless/ rough sleeper problem. It won't just go away and we seem to have no strategy for it. It's a national disgrace and we should be doing something about it

Look after the needy and genuinely disadvantaged, the elderly and war veterans in the U.K. first.
Anything left over send to places in most need of help

Much of the famine areas such as Somalia, Nigeria and Yemen is in regions affected by Islamic extremists so why should we send aid that will probably get hijacked anyway. Also don't suppose the extremely rich Arabic countries will be helping out. Or Pakstan and India but they need it for nuclear and/or space projects with some help from the Uk!

I don't get why the working man who is struggling to make ends meet is made to feel guilty enough to have to cough up more and more money that they can ill afford to already very rich Companies around the world to part with their goods, to then try and pass on to these poor souls that are on the brink of starvation and extinction.
And then there's no guarantee the goods will reach them
What a fucking horrible world we live in
