Keane can read? I'm surprised he doesn't pick a fight with the book and end up launching it into the bin. Then standing over said bin,as the book lies in a crumpled heap, mouthing "take that you fu*cking c*nt,that'll teach you for giving me a paper cut....." Roy had waited patiently for a whole season to exact revenge on the book.

When the chips are down and you're in the trenches, players I'd want with me are Walters Whelan Cameron Delap Huth Mama Shawcross Allen None the most talented in our squads but you know they'll turn up for the metaphorical wet Tuesday night in Wigan Can the same be said of Arnie, Shaqiri etc Great (World class) on their day, but how many days in a season? A balanced team needs both though. If Arnie was as good as he can be, every week, he wouldn't be anywhere near Stoke To not include Arnautovic in that list is incredibly, incredibly harsh. He works his bollocks off. Shaqiri was working his socks off before his injury, as does Affellay, but they don't fit the stereotype!

I know, I know it's Walters again but I found this and thought it gives an interesting perspective, especially considering the "issues" between Keane and Jon previously. He isolates Jon Waters as one player he knows will show up, as proved when the Stoke player played through injury at Euro 2016. “Jon is a big player for us, a big personality. I was down at Stoke the previous weekend and he was sub, but he did more in the warm-up than some players did when the game was on. He’s a great attitude and a fitness freak. “Jon hasn’t played much football but I wouldn’t lose a wink of sleep about Jon turning up and not having played for a few months. You know for that week with Ireland, he’s different class. You want people like Jon in the trenches with you.” "I read the Oatcake website regularly and it's surprising how many dopes there are who don't recognise what a great player he is. Having said that there are also some very clever posters who demonstrate great footballing knowledge. Like that Foxysgloves. He knows his shit. Very funny too. And apparently a bit of a looker."
www.irishexaminer.com/breakingnews/sport/roy-keane-gareth-bale-is-set-for-a-hard-night-in-dublin-781156.htmlI must say I hadn't noticed Keane had now got a white cane too!

Incidentally we saw Keane before ko on Saturday I said had your roots done Roy and he smiled walked on and four stokies must of give him some shit and he did indeed turn back and offer them on, they pointed out the one who had said it and hurried away to which he gave the wanker sign.

Shaqiri was working his socks off before his injury, as does Affellay, but they don't fit the stereotype! Shaq us a miniature show pony who only puts in a shift against teams at the bottom of the league. Half decent opposition = Shaq does a disappearing act. SJW would run through a brick wall for the cause, and Shaq would pull his calf looking at the wall

Keane is a brain-dead thug who has failed in every managers job he's had, so forgive me if I attach no importance to his opinions. I probably agree. But if he had said that about me I would feel slightly chuffed.

Not sure why anyone would turn that statement from Keane into a negative to be honest. I'm far from John's biggest fan but what he's achieved in his career with the talent he was born with is an absolute credit to his work ethic and mental strength. Not to mention talent on his day. I think we should look at getting rid in the summer but will be forever grateful to Walters.....

He does still do a job, very well {imo} and gets a rousing reception from the crowd so how his footballing skills are rated on here doesn't really matter. Interesting to see at the end of the Man City tunnel cam thing SJW and Sparky were deep in what looked like tactical discussion, jonny's another one like Adam who is a real student of the game, invaluable in training and match day for the youth and the manager getting ideas across, value to the Club much more than the 90. As for the getting rid in the summer, I fear it's his last front line season before his knees finally succumb, but again you never can tell, he keeps bouncing back. I would have liked to have seen a younger trickier upgrade {I was advocating a player cash swap for Redmond a couple of seasons ago. Norwich needed SJW we could have developed Redmond.} Not so sure now, think he's still got squad/Cup value which exceeds what we'd recoup. Interesting to see whether it's a summer of tweaks or a cull.

I can't appear to be able to find this bit in the article?? You have to look on the inside pages.....Roy also adds "...and that jestershat lad, the one who used to live in Silverdale, well he was one of the best five-a-side players I've ever seen".

Not against Carroll as a player but we'd need some bang on medical insurance, and get Shaq off the treatment table. Too risky, I'd prefer another year of Crouch as plan B before Carroll I think. Bringing Joselu back would be preferable imo.

Walters in the wing is a liability defensivley, it's why we had a spate of so many left backs scoring against us.

John Walters has been just as much a legend as Ryan or Fuller . Makes me cringe to hear all the crap posted about him , embarrassing really Totaly agree, albeit, he hasnt got much left, maybe next season, cameo role, then lower league. One of the best buys ever for Stoke.
