Simple. We can attack teams away from home. We can have 2 up front. We can change the team round and include more pace instead of having passengers on the pitch. I hope to god he does not revert back to the usual 4-5-1 with crouch up top next game.

I suspect, being as Mark Hughes knows what he's doing, that playing Berahino in a two-man attack was always the plan.
However, because Berahino's still someway off full match sharpness, we've had no option but to resort to Crouch these past few weeks while we got him somewhere near game fitness.

I and quite a few others have cried out for 2 up top for a looooooong time I suppose you have to weigh up each game as it comes but for gods sake don't jettison this idea after one game A bit of continuity is in order here, so personnel permitting give it a go for the next 5 or 6 games and see how far it takes us

We still could of used someone else there. We do have more than 1 striker. Nothing worse than playing 4-5-1 at home really is there. I could understand it if it was v Barcelona!

Yeah, but for a good while the others were all injured or at the African Nations. We had a month where Crouch was literally the only option- and to be fair he did well when he was picked. Would have been ludicrously harsh to drop him before these last couple of games.

Surely hughes being the great manager he is, should of thought of this before letting Joselu go, and Bojan, with the ACN coming up. I thought he would of realised that. I know injuries from walters etc didn't help

I hope he learns to get cover at the back especially fullback and centerback so we don't have to keep losing our momentum reshuffling players each season. Needs to think long and hard about next season and get some real depth added in we could push top 6.

How was he going to play two up front whilst Cameron was still out injured?
Also, the whole point of today's set up was to attack less and pay our opponents more respect. He pretty much said as much afterwards.
