Absolutely excellent tonight, quite the best display of refereeing i've seen this season Should've booked Yaya for the deliberate handball. Otherwise excellent!

Missed that toure handball. And should have booked Fernandhino for pushing Ramadan over. But yes he was fine.

I thought he wank, bought the Aguero dive in the first half, didn't book Toure for the most blatant of handballs and then failed to book Fernandinho for pushing Sobhi over.

A mixed bag for me but weve certainly had a lot worse.

He did all right. Did not bow to the City players contesting decisions. They were waving their arms for everything. Should have booked Toure though.

Missed that toure handball. And should have booked Fernandhino for pushing Ramadan over. But yes he was fine. Can't believe Ramadan got the yellow in that situation. He even added a bit of leg to make sure he tripped him. Surmans push at the weekend was less for a second yellow.

He was ok, let the game flow as best he could but 2 things rankle with me - Yaya not getting booked and then Fernandinho not getting booked even though Ramadan did.

I agree regarding Toure and Fernandihno being lucky to escape yellows, but otherwise very good and didn't bow down to home fans appealing for everything

Surmans push at the weekend was less for a second yellow. That was exactly my thinking but hey ho it didn't matter in the end.

Missed that toure handball. And should have booked Fernandhino for pushing Ramadan over. But yes he was fine. Agree with both handball and push. That was a proper push on Ramadan, not like Surman on Zlat. Missed Kun's dive too.

Did alright. Missed a few obvious ones, made a few wrong calls.
Same as any other ref display.

Like all refs made a few errors BUT when a team like us go to a "big" club you need a ref who at least gives you a chance and he was pretty much uninvolved tonight which is what you want as an away team.

Its minor in the end I know but he's made a major error, or worse, changed the rules in terms of Toure and that troubles me. He DEFINITELY saw it, it's a yellow card, as plain a yellow card in all football and has been so for years. I can't see why he hasn't given it. I can only conclude its a really famous player who he may have been put in an awkward position with later on.
As good as he was overall, I'm 100% sure a Stoke player wouldn't have been allowed such a game of volleyball with such leniency.

Yeah thankfully nothing to worry about as far as the game went but to not book him for the singular most bookable offence you'll ever see is a bit of a concern to say the least. Yet again another ref (as with Saturday's) who isn't aware that dissent is a yellow card. In fact does any fucker other than us get cards for this?

Swarbrick is a good referee, doesnt blow up for bullshit. Suits us and espacially Ryan. Remember when we played Watford and he pushed Deeney around and Swarbrick let him do it. As I said back then. This ref every match pls.
