I've not seen this film, but me mother has & she is an aficionado of all things "Musical". She says it's rubbish & worthy of nowt. Now I'm not suggesting that the people of the Oatcake are necessarily musical theatre darlings, but are there any thoughts, given that this film has been given a record amount of Oscar abominations...

I won't be troubling the box office with this one. Now if Mad Max did the rounds again. ☺

Fond memories of watching the first one with two mates in the cinema in tintagel when it came out while on a cycling holiday many moons ago. We were the only ones in the place.

I got dragged to see this absolute load of contrived shite as punishment for graciously allowing the other half to accompany me when I went to watch Rogue One. Lets just say that my punishment was cruel & unusual and quite possibly in breach of the Geneva convention.

Going on what I was told it lost the plot a bit and then didn't summon the interest to go and check it out. What did you think of it.

When you name a film after a Telly Tubby what do you expect. It hardly grabs the attention of a widespread public does it.
Might as well made an Arni movie and called it Four Feather Falls and if you're old enough to remember that then at least the music was better on it.

When it was first released I thought it was the new TeleTubbies movie. I did go and watch Mama Mia the musical at Plymouth Thearter Royal on satdee night. It was excellent and worthy of some kind of award if there's such a thing for musical theatre productions.

What a mess up! Warren Beatty caught in the middle. Indeed he was - I think he tried to avert the fiasco that happened but got steamrollered in the rush to announce the winner. Here's what I'm sure happened - Warren Beatty was clearly thinking that something was wrong as the card said '(whatever her name is) for Best Actress and LLL' rather than 'Best Film' --- this was why he took so long over it, including looking back in the envelope a couple of times, and I'm sure that when he showed the card to Faye Dunaway he was expecting her to immediately also notice the discrepancy, so that she'd also hold back. If she HAD noticed that it said 'Best Actress' rather than 'Best Film' the two of them could surely then have said some sort of holding line whilst they somehow discreetly queried it with someone off-stage before announcing anything….. …..but I'd bet that all FD did was look at the line saying 'LLL' and so she just announced it straight out. Result: a giant clanger! Apparently the two of them were 'given the honour' of announcing Best Film, the biggest award of the night, as a tribute to mark 50 years since their Bonnie and Clyde film, at the end of which they both got shot to smithereens. I bet they were wishing for the same thing the other night when all the chaos was going on. Anyway, apart from all that, what has Faye Dunaway done to her FACE? Obviously a case of plastic surgery making a worse job of what she'd have looked like if she'd just had the sense - and no doubt lack of vanity - to just age naturally. And there's no miaowing - at all - in my saying that!
