Gills winning. Good times.
In Burslum the sound of crocodile jaws snapping is getting louder by the week.

Going to go down to the wire. Vale will do pretty well to get another point though (tee hee) 3 away games and 1 at home. Oxford, Fleetwood and Walsall away. Bolton at home. Ouch.

Assuming Bolton beat them next Saturday, they're going to have to conjour up a win from those three away games.
They've taken 4 points from the last 42 on their travels!

Just had a quick gander on OVF and at last a degree of realism has set in. Couldn't find anyone there who didn't think they were going down, assuming you can accuse any of them of rational thought.

Got a little bit tasty there today judging on the video I saw today, the vale fans were incensed that a bar of soap was thrown into a home end, it disrupted the old vale anthem of we only wash when we win, my god it stank in there, the Sheffield fans were being charitable, can you imagine the scenes if they had started throwing in roll on deodorant!

Oldham 1 Bolton 0. Disastrous result for Vale, means that Bolton will almost certainly come to Burslem next week needing a result.

I'm regaining my love of football with the Vales plight this season. I didn't realise how much I despised those cretins until the prospect of their relegation was on the horizon. Football has brought a smile back to my face again.

Ray Williams has just likened Stoke City to Huddersfield, Brighton & Burton.
"Huddersfield, Burton Albion, STOKE CITY (said with emphasis) and Brighton - Teams who Vale have competed in the same division as and been above down the years, these teams have left Vale in their wake and that's what rankles with Vale supporters."
I'm not sure where we fit into that in all honesty, oh i do, he's on another wind-up and he's got me again! He bloody hates Stoke and can't deal with the fact that we're inifinitely more successful than his tin-pot favourites.
I know I shouldn't let Ray Williams wind me up but he does and although there's accuracy in the fact they've been in the same division as the teams he mentioned just why he's adding us in with those particular clubs is embarassing.
Stoke City have spent over 60 seasons in the top flight of English football.
We're sat 18th in the "Seasons in Top Flight" table of the 65 teams who have been in the top division.
Huddersfield have been in the top flight for half the amount of seasons we have, Brighton have been in the top flight for 4 seasons in their history. Burton and obviously Vale have never been up there.
I think this prat needs to realise that Stoke City as a club are on a different level than Vale. Our dire years coincided with Vales glory years. They were punching WAY above their weight while we were floundering well below where we should be.
2008 was the year everything got back to where it should be and now let's hope they get back to where they belong. In the basement.
I sort of like getting wound up by him in a sort of perverse way, shows that the potteries rivalry still matters to me.
'mon the Oxford!
