Just read the memo. So the FBI got a warrant to monitor Carter Page, who is obviously a Russian apologist, yet the memo makes it seem this came solely from the Steele dossier. Too bad he was being monitored since 2014 www.washingtonexaminer.com/former-trump-adviser-carter-page-under-fisa-warrant-since-2014-report/article/2630576So, basically this is just another lame attempt at diversion from the criminal investigation into corruption involving the POTUS. Oh, and ask me about my tax cut. Fug it, I'll tell you. I'm paying more in taxes now than before the overhaul. Thanks republicans for making America shit again.

It seems like this is the story: The Trump campaign tried to commit treason at least once. The FBI investigated folk, several of whom have now been indicted for crimes. After the investigation began, one dossier was used as part of the evidence to maintain a warrant. But even if the dossier had started the investigations, the Trump campaign still tried to commit treason at least once then lied about it and tried to cover it up. We'll see if this is just Trump and the Republicans trying to purge the state police so they can seize even more power.

The indictment was for tax evasion by Manafort and his business before he worked on Trump's campaign, and was subsequently sacked from the campaign.

I'm not on Facebook and many social media accounts are echo chambers for similar views so I'm not surprised that the same stories circulate through the same politically aligned accounts but those of hard line Trump supporters and Antifa/The Resistance won't change their minds come the next election. Here's some fake news from a bot farm attacking Trump... Maybe with so much anti-Trump news in the MSM those with an opposite view have taken to unregulated social media outlets. How about this. Fake news?

Has Trump distanced himself from Rob Porter yet? Asked by reporters two days after Porter's resignation, President Donald Trump commented, "He said very strongly yesterday that he's innocent so you have to talk to him about that, but we absolutely wish him well, he did a very good job when he was at the White House." Ex-wife Jennifer Willoughby; "I don't want to be married to him. I would not recommend anyone to date him or marry him. But I definitely want him in the White House and the position he is in. I think his integrity and ability to do his job is impeccable." Wiki.

I suppose a cynical person might think that it's in Trump's interest to keep Porter sweet, as the alternative won't be pretty. Not that it would make any difference to Trump's supporters whether they be conservative Christians or otherwise.

He parted company from the law firm in about 2011 possibly under a cloud. What alternative won't be pretty?

Although Rich Barker obviously thinks that enough to call him a "Trump aide sleazeball". A bit like Labour's 'Jim' Vaz and his 2 on 1 gay sex parties where he offered to buy cocaine from his £2m London shag pad. He got promoted by Corbyn after that.

No, but I looked him up and that looks as suspicious as it gets. Michael Cohen is one of Trumps lawyers, and paid a porn star to keep quiet about shagging Trump. Where it gets more interesting is that Cohen paid her $130,000 in 2016 to keep quiet about it. It should not be a story really as Cohen says he was not instructed by Trump to pay her off and that he used his own money to do it. The guy should be up for some kind of generosity award.

The murderer had pics wearing a MAGA hat and trained with white nationalists. This country is a breeding ground for homegrown white nationalist terrorists ATM, and Trump courts them.

She's right. If only guns had been illegal. That wanker of a lad would have walked into that school & thought "Oh shit, carrying this gun is illegal, I'd better not go & shoot all those people afterall or I might get into trouble".

That’s such a poor effort! Are seriously suggesting that if guns weren’t handed out like sweets then there would be the same level of gun crime. Show me another country in the western world that has this level of gun crime? Why? Because they have laws that make it so much more difficult to access guns and they are not legitimised by the state. Whichever you look at it it is sickness promoted from the hierarchies and establishment. I suppose you think not handin our guns like sweets is PC Gone Mad!

Just out of interest, tdc, are you saying that gun control has no bearing on gun crime rates?

No, I don't get why anyone in a city would need a gun (I get it for those out in the sticks where there are dangerous wild animals & such like) I'm just not naive enough to think that if The Don makes guns illegal tomorrow, that by Monday the hundreds of millions of guns in the United States will have all been handed in & gun crime will be a thing of the past. The phrase 'closing the stable gate after the horse has bolted' springs to mind. No-one has ever thought about going to take the dog for walk, seen a gun, and then decided to go & shoot up a school instead. They've already had the idea of wanting to shoot up a school & have then got their hands on a gun. That wont change, people who want to shoot up schools will still get their hands on guns. Just like Bloods & Crips, or Mongols & Hells Angels, or any other people who are already shooting eachother will carry on doing so. There are way, way too many guns already in circulation, and the people who're happy to go & shoot someone to death, anit going to give a shit if carrying the gun is illegal or not.

So your view is to give up? I don't think any rational person believes that guns can be removed from American society. To me there is a simple logic in attempting to restrict gun ownership rather than making it easier to own guns which is exactly what Trump did when he gained power. How is removing the need for background checks a good idea (including a mental health check)? There are plenty of guns in Switzerland, but they are far more controlled. Americans will always have guns, I see no reason why it should be possible to legally buy an assault rifle in many States including Florida without any records.

The thing evidence suggests ( www.gunviolencearchive.org/mass-shooting) that horse is going to just keep on bolting if that stable door is continued to be left open. It's both absurd and criminal for anyone not to think that about trying to put some kind of lock on it.
