The Republicans are clever - give a few bucks to the poor in time for the next election but take them away after, when it's too late to vote them out and their extremists have full control of election commissions and the courts. By the end of it, the bottom 80 % will be losing money, but the super rich get a nice, juicy, permanent bonus and 13 million poor people are going to lose health insurance. The Republicans had a great opportunity to help everybody and they put a few good things in the bill, but it's basically a huge giveaway to the very richest with a few pennies tossed to the plebs. Compare: AT&T has announced a $0.2 billion bonus for its workers, Oracle has announced a $15 billion buyback for shareholders. This is how it's going to be from now on: a massive gushing orgasm for the super rich, and half a sloppy handjob followed by a solid anal reaming for everyone else. The alternative issss..... To keep it exactly how it was before? That's bullshit and you know it. Republicans had a choice, they chose to brew up this enormous turd and dump it on the American people. "As it was before" is better than this for most, unless you're in the top 0.1-1 %. They could have cut corporate rates, perhaps by a little less, while closing more loopholes and keeping the alternative minimum tax stronger. They could have kept the estate tax limit the same or lowered it. They could have index linked the petrol tax to keep up with road repairs like it was supposed to. They could have allowed the IRS to automatically fill out your tax form if you choose. They could allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices. They could have cut the lower rates without such big cuts to the top rate, since everyone benefits from lower rate cuts. The increased standard deduction seems good - there are a few grains of rice speckled through this enormous turd that Republican extremists have squirted out. Of course, the Republican party wouldn't do these things because Trump and his mates demanded big cuts for them, and that's what they get. Special tax breaks for real estate investors, massive cuts to estate taxes, pass through income etc. The Trumps are winning BIGLY out of this, sucks for you if you earn less than $75k a year though.

Call me sceptical, but I don't know whether to believe what Bannon said or not, and I don't think he's said anything that's not been said before. The constant fake news surrounding Trump is classic cognitive dissonance, if Bannon has actual evidence of wrong doing, then he should have told the FBI, not and author of a book. What he has done here is state an opinion instead of confirming whether a treasonous act has taken place. When fake news about Trump is proven to be fake, it strengthens Trump and his followers and it makes it easier to dismiss real bad news about Trump as being real fake news, therefore fake news is great news for Trump. Bannon is a made man for life, he can take a hit to his reputation because he doesn't give a fuck about it, he's been made out to be a nasty sacked sore looser with a grudge, and his satisfactions cannot be backed up.

There's so much 💩 Being thrown at the whole family, some of it will stick. & as they say, why did Trump employ a journo in the 1st place if the entire Trump campaign wasn't a massive publicity stunt & he needed a ghost writer 👻

Nothing in the revelations is a surprise and they are not going to get him out any sooner. The only good part about the negative press he's getting is that it hurts Trump's ego.

"There was one question on my mind when I started this book .... What is it like to work with Donald Trump? ...... How can you work with Donald Trump? ..... How do you feel having worked with Donald Trump?" 3 hrs spent with Trump over the campaign and after the inauguration in the White House. Last meeting with Trump.... Feb 2017, less than 100 days in....

As I've already said, the comments attributed to Steve Bannon are highly suspect, and I would not be at all surprised if Bannon goes back on them or is proven to have "mis-spoke" or had not realised the full context around his assumptions. As soon as that happens, the rest of the book will be toast, no matter how accurate it is in the other statements.

She'd get trounced 'cos her entire campaign would be "Vote for me because I'm a woman... A black woman... Did I mention I'm a woman who is black?" All the MSM would constantly bang on about how she is a black woman & that anyone who doesn't vote for her is a racist & sexist. Meanwhile in the real world everyone is fed-fucking-up of all this identity politics bullshit.

Pre-dementia days when Trump first flirted with the idea of running for President he wanted Oprah as VP. He's probably forgotten.

I reckon Donald's been reading the Cultural enrichment thread on here! He'd certainly fit in with the racists and bigots on there. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-42656433Perhaps they wanted a better life for themselves and their kids, Donald, just like your ancestors did when they emigrated to America. He wouldn't even be there if his own family hadn't emigrated to the US in 1885. What a prick!

Dangerous times, we've been here before on many many occasions. And it never ends well.
