I think it looks tonnes better without it saying anything on the seats! I think the seats should have pictures of people, then the stadium would always look full.

Shame we didn't have time to do the seats in the main stand as well, then it would have looked brand new, but it does look so much better.

Looks fantastic finally! That new red screen looks like it was designed in 1990 though, might be the most outdated looking stadium screen I've ever seen...and it was built in 2017 haha

I'm not a fan of those pitch side disabled areas... Surely they'd have been better off having them infront of the main stand either side of the dugout? Where they are now is asking for a ball to the face.
Other than that it all looks great, roll on Satdee! (Well, technically a week on Satdee, but you know what I mean!)

Its looking very good. I like how the steps in the corners go all the way up in to to the new disabled areas too.
Having looked at all the pics on the official site, whats the area in front of block 19 with the white metal fencing? Why are there 2 entrances in the new corner too?

I don't like that they removed the text from the south stand. Reminds me of St Marys.

I would imagine that safety legislation will specify the number of exits/entrances per 1000 people and 1,800 people will require 2.

That is being done next year ain't it. Yes it is, just a shame they couldn't have done it all in one go but I understand the time constraints etc. It was a production constraint rather than a physical time issue which is why we had to do it in 3 phases.....

I was down the ground yesterday sorting some meetings out, been nosey I had a wander around the work cabins by Delias, lucky had my Hi Viz and safety boots.Talking to one of the project engineers I asked about the footings, his answer was if they are there or not the area has to be dug up so the building inspector can survey them and check against the original plans.Civil engineering is a complex business ,and with all the regs a check system is in place and until the inspector said you can move on ,you have to wait around.I was involved in the construction of the QE11 bridge,30%of the time was taken up with inspectors either waiting for them or waiting for the ok. Reminds me of when Axl Foley turned up at that mansion in Beverly Hills Cop 2

The big screen looks even more of a monstrosity in the second picture 😳 Hopefully when it's covered in ads and what not it won't be to bad. I take it there won't be a screen on the back of the new screen in the new corner then as some thought !?

Having looked at all the pics on the official site, whats the area in front of block 19 with the white metal fencing? Why are there 2 entrances in the new corner too? In the UK, it is required that a suitable means of escape for the disabled should be provided at every part or floor of the building that is accessible to the disabled. It is mandatory that there must be at least one exit from any room, storey, space, gallery, catwalk or openwork floor of a building, or from a dwelling. This applies for a building occupancy of less than 60. For a building with occupancy of 61-600, there should be at least 2 exits. For more than 600, there should be at least 3 exits.

I feel sorry for the main 2-tier stand now, its all on it's own, torn apart from the rest of the stadium, like some orphaned child

WOW ! Magnificent - much more befitting of our status
how could anyone argue against doing this ?
30k stadium - worldwide status - worldwide brand
something to be proud of now - its finally looking finished - (to TV cameras)
good for Stoke on Trent --- surely to god ?
