I enjoyed yesterday without the board or clockwatching, almost going old-school.

Well it certainly took away some of the intense nervousness I usually feel when we're winning by a single goal or drawing against the best sides. Proper old school stuff.
OS.

Usually sit there like a shambling wreck nervously awaiting an equaliser. Yesterday i was sat there casually watching the game thinking there was 10 minutes left and then the final whistle went

I was hoping watches wouldn't be needed and we would be 3 or 4 up.

I spent a lot of time looking at the mudbank behind the scoreboard first half...marginally more entertaining than the game.

I was trying to calculate the correct soil to clay ratios. And the water content of both materials (given weather conditions on the day)

Me too. I was trying to work out how high the soil was piled up. I was trying to calculate the correct soil to clay ratios. And the water content of both materials (given weather conditions on the day) I was using the ratio of digger height to concourse level as a means of calculus and I recon there was about 600 tons.

Remember though, that one cubic metre of soil weighs between 1.2 and 1.7 metric tonnes. Whereas clay, and in this instance I'm sure you'd agree, we can accept as MOT Type scalpings, weighs 1.92 metric tonnes. A rough calculation adds up to about 600 metric tonnes. (unless it's stiff clay which weighs about 1.6 metric tonnes which results in 500 tonnes)

Those 3 blokes stood there watching the game were they supposed to be working? P45's this morning if there boss saw them on MOTD.

I loved that loads of people went down at about 25 minutes for a beer because they followed someone going for a piss and thought it was 35 minutes.

This thread has made me laugh, which is a change on here. We're gone from the early leavers being late to the viscosity of an old pit bank, and all because we can't look at our watches because we're frightened of the opposition scoring a goal. OS.
