3 more points on the board, a win despite not playing well is never bad for me but we're laboured too much of the time, running short of fresh ideas as well as fresh legs - happy with the result but a better side could so easily have seen us off today.
6* from me

6.
Yeah figures.
I suppose he's marked down for personally not converting about 4 gilt edged chances.
He picked the right starting 11 and all subs were spot on.

9.5
Would've liked another goal to calm the nerves, but a good performance and great result against one of our most annoying bogey sides.

10. Went with the team I'd have picked. The Johnson sub was forced. Berahino was ready to come on until we scored which I'd have done. And affelay for Adam was spit on too. A comfortable victory. Not sure what more Hughes could have done today

No drive or oomph in the side today.
Half expected a 0-0.

I'm not Hughes biggest fan personally but he got it spot on today. Big sams teams are always hard to beat especially after a 4-0 thumping to fellow relegation battlers.
Giving sohbi the opportunity, switching the wingers throughout the game and his subs were spot on and all at the right time.
Fair play Hughes

7, didn't get the Diouf sub, surely Saido for crouch. We can't complain he is not match fit if we don't get him on the pitch.

How would you have negated Palace's 10 man defence out of interest? Didn't ask for all guns blazing just a bit more craft and guile. We looked clumsy and disjointed Maybe affeley in the middle instead of Adam from the outset Needed that bit of cutting edge to cut them open. We needed pace to do that. Diouf would have caused them problems I reckon We contained benteke with ease today and Bruno was superb as was sobhi. Fine margins I know but it could have made the match less arse clenching.

Not sure what more Hughes could have done today I think the only thing I would have done differently might have been to bring Afellay on for Adam a little earlier. I thought Adam was running on empty for a good ten minutes before he was subbed and Ibby proved to be just the right person to replace him. The game had been needing a central player who could hang onto the ball and Ibby did just that. If he doesn't see the pass he wants to make he doesn't panic and is prepared to hang onto the ball until the right opening appears. He's a totally different player in the centre to what he is on the wing. 8* from me.

8*
Can't fault LMH for team selection, but this was hardly one to remember. Pure class from Arnie, Sobhi & Allen. Great defending from Bruno. But that was about it against dreadful opposition. Palace clearly not a good fit for Allardyce. This was a must win game - and we won. Let's move on.

*8 from me and he got his subs spot on. He left Crouchie on so he could help defending set plays.

9/10
Switched the wings when we needed it. Affelay and Diouf wasted the time and gave us possession. It was supposed to be 3-0 if Crouch and Allen scored the 2 chances in the first half.

Thought Adam was exceptional today, especially first half. The lack of craft and guile comes from having a workhorse at number 10. We didn't play great, but looked fairly solid in a boring game 8 for Hughes, right team (from what we have) and okay subs.

Wasnt a great game today. We should have won it a lot easier with chances we had. Fair play for giving Ramadan a game. I thought the subs came at the right time but i would have bought Saido on instead of diouf but we got the 3 points against a team which we normally find hard to beat. Cant believe palace beat us 4 0 earlier in the season. 8/10

9 We generally do shit against palace and i think hughes did a good job. Tactically much better, starting Sobhi was a massive plus and i would say he rewarded him for the chance. Subs were good after we took the lead, we set up for the counter, but palace didn't really do much in the way of putting pressure on us. I will take any win against palace, they seem to be a bit of a bogey side for us.

Would have to give him a 7* today , starting with Ramadan was a bonus for me , hopefully he can stay in for a while now as he looks a decent lad .
never an easy game for us and the win was important with a break and a tough game next
I still don't like the slow ball play but most seem to do it , but a good solid win

9* from me. It could have been a whopping great banana skin and we really needed the points especially with the togh games coming up. I thoght the Mama sub was the right thing to do at that stage of the game because of his defending capabilities. Good management.

The man can turn a bunch of unfit, unprofessional, average footballers, who don't work on the basics in training into a top 10 side in the world's most competitive highest football league.
The man must be a genius.

9*. Thought the team looked good, Palarse players were getting frustrated and more angry as the game wore on and they achieved nothing. Sobi and Affely looked good, Shawcross showed the ability he has got in defence. Arnie got better as the game went on. Solid defence, Indi was magnificent and Johnston a straight replacement for Bardsley, who has been great for us, and the midfield out played theirs. The only thing we are missing is pace, but with Affeley, Sobhi and Behrahino that will change and with N'Goy getting more playing time and Cameron and Shaquiri coming back from injuries and if Bojan gets his form back on loan, I think the future is looking brighter.
