We'll have to wait for the biographies to find out what really happened...by which time on one will even care.

Having discussions about this issue on the Oatcake is one thing, but why Stoke have decided to escalate this relatively unimportant story is beyond me, it's simply making all parties look unprofessional. The only person being unprofessional here is Pulis attempting to get to Stoke through their captain. Stoke reacting in this manner isn't exactly helping, but people in the game know what Pulis is like so actually, I personally don't mind that someone [Stoke/Hughes] are calling him out on it. Sometimes, maintaining a dignified silence simply prolongs the annoyance.

What a fucking mess. Both sides aren't covering themselves with any glory here. To be fair Stoke didn't leak the Berahino story and Stoke didn't leave the message on Ryan's phone, if both those things hadn't originated from the other 'side', then none of this would be happening.

Now ask him why he's bosom buddies with the twat who almost single handedly ruined his skipper's career at the very top while he's talking about how much respect he has for Ryan. As I've said previously, I don't give a fuck about a bastard voicemail but I do care about how Ryan was vilified by Wenger and the press after the tackle on Ramsay, which most knowledgeable pundits said was accidental and six of one and half a dozen of the other. Let him squirm on the end of that question. No doubt he'll come up with some platitudes like 'Let Bygones be bygones', but it's too late for Ryan to see it that way. The lad will never again get a second chance to make up for what Wenger and the press did to him. For that alone I despise Pulis as being lower than a snake's belly.
OS.

Is it not simply a rehash of Saturdays story with a made up bit at the top that Ryan is unhappy that it was leaked? There is however, no quote from Ryan or anyone connected to him pointing to his 'fury' and the evidence from his missus' tweet suggests he was far from unhappy it had been aired. Another of Pulis' media acolytes making shit up to help him out possibly? I'm amazed how well liked he is in media circles.

Exactly! Nothing new in that Sun story at all, and no direct quote from Ryan or anyone at SCFC. It looks to me like a load of crap made up by someone trying to clear their name.

The Sun story has a whiff of bullshit about it doesn't it. It wasn't the best game in the world on Saturday but the attitude was spot on. Shawcross looked galvanised and focussed, not furious in the slightest. That allied to his missus's tweet suggests this is just an old pals act by Ashton on behalf of TP.

It is about time a line was drawn under this sordid affair. It is only providing material for a mediafest which does not reflect well on either club (West Brom, perhaps more than Stoke)

Wenger single handedly tried to destroy Ryans career. To see Pulis cosying up to him makes me want to vomit. It says a lot about him to be honest. There's lot of back peddling going on with him trying to gloss over the situation. It's time to let it lie. Hopefully we'll get them first home game next season.

Yeah that was exactly my point LG, there's nothing new in there at all, the only quotes he could come up with were the ones from Pulis over the weekend, there's nothing at all to substantiate the bit that he has actually added to it.

Next home game against West Brazil, I hope (assuming the capped snake is still manager) there is a rousing tannoy announcement just before kick off.
"And now would everyone please welcome our former manager, Mr Tony Pulis".
You can then respond and express your opinion of the man accordingly.
The noise will be heard in the favelas of Smethwick.

10:24 Relationship with family not affected - Pulis Tony Pulis insists his fall out with Stoke manager Mark Hughes won't affect his relationship with the Coates family. The latest conflict between the managers revolved around Hughes' revelation that Pulis left an answerphone message for Stoke skipper Ryan Shawcross. Pulis denied he was calling Stoke a loser in the message and also says of the Coates family: "I think they will understand and know what has happened. I don’t think they need convincing, they know me too well. What’s been leaked and what’s been put out is disgraceful and I mean disgraceful." Like most stories in the Sun it is a work of fiction, designed to sell papers. So idiots will buy it and be drawn into reading Murdoch's extreme right wing propaganda.

Why would Hughes (or anyone Stoke related currently) leak the Berahino story though? That's where this has started, listen to what TP says and he talks about that incident. Genuine question above because I don't see your logic in this. I wasn't suggesting it was Stoke or Hughes that leaked the Berahino story. My point is that Hughes reaction in the media was not necessarily required. What's been gained out of it? TP has been called out as the low-life toad many ex-players/chairmen know him as. It's all good from Stoke in my book. Ive always liked West Brom as a club. This is just TP vs. his sacking at Stoke this whole shenanigans. I dont hold anything against West Brom, trust me it will all go sour for Pulis soon enough and the Baggies fans will end up hating TP after it all (if they dont already now).
