It's called isn't peace. Only people from Stoke call it inner peace.
I found mine by looking for the good in other people, looking for solutions to problems, and swearing at the telly.

By culling every pedestrian in my home town over the age of 70
I ask you...What fucking use are they? Clogging the fucking streets up walking at a snails pace with that faint smell of ammonia trailing behind
Make way for Mary as she's on a mission
Must protect my inner sanctum
Assumes lotus position........And relax

" most men live lives of quiet desperation, going to their grave with the song still in them " Quote ,,,,, Henry john Thoreau Well Harry, if we're doing quotes. Jean Cocteau.
“Living is a horizontal fall.”
“Here I am trying to live, or rather, I am trying to teach the death within me how to live.”
and one of my favourite quotes.... “What uniform can I wear to hide my heavy heart? It is too heavy. It will always show. Jacques felt himself growing gloomy again. He was well aware that to live on earth a man must follow its fashions, and hearts were no longer worn.”

Life's a bitch and then you marry one.
Just accept that when you were young you knew nowt and now you are older it's too late to do owt about it.
Dunner werrit though as what you have now is probably as good as it gets so enjoy it while you can.

Meditation is supposed to be a life-changer if you become consistent. I have certainly found it to be very helpful, coupled with yoga, although you are right - you do have to work at it, practicing daily whether you feel wonderful or shitty. Also, don't expect miracles at first - even a glimpse of peace is good. I have also found running to help a lot with easing anxiety.

Also, don't expect miracles at first - even a glimpse of peace is good. I have also found running to help a lot with easing anxiety. I've dabbled with it for a few years now but am currently in the most consistent period of my life, though my lack of consistency in the past means I'm still very much at the habit forming stage and nowhere near the life-changing stages. I saw something on tele (or maybe somewhere on youtube) where they were interviewing some kids in an East-Asian country. (can't remember where but surely a Buddhist country) Anyway, they were at a school and filming all the primary-school kids meditating! A little girl who couldn't have been older than 8 or 9 told the cameraman, "I used to hate meditation time but now it is the part of the day that I look forward to the most!" I thought that was kind of interesting. If I become prime-minister I'll introduce meditation time into the curriculum!

Sick of being worried all of the time. Just think of God. Exactly. He must have it loads worse, pestered all the fucking time by people asking for this that and the other, all the while trying to do his day job of adding bits on at the edge of the universe. Nightmare. Thanks, musik, you've cheered me right up. All good here 😊

If God is the answer, you’re asking the wrong question. What if the question's "what is dog backwards?"

I think that given the context of this (old) thread, that’s the wrong question. It proves the rule.

The happiest people I've met were the mentally retarded in Cheddleton when I spent six months on maintenance there. They were in their own heaven during autumn when squads of three were sent into the woods to clean up leaves - one with a wheelbarrow, one with a brush, and one with a size 10's shovel. Inner peace is only sought by people who live a troubled life. They had no worries.
OS.
