As said in the Berra thread, I don't know if I'd risk taking him down to that toxic pisspot club and subject him to the level of shit that'll be thrown at him, both from the crowd (that still have 3k unsold seats) and Pulis' 'marking'. All depends on his strength of character.
Be fucking brilliant to get a result against the prick in a cap, still can't look past his antics at the Brit last season.

If Berahino does play , and I think he will at some point , I can see the likes of Yakob (that talentless dirty Argie) and Olsen kicking lumps out of him. Play like we did against Everton and I think we could nick a win here . Been really pleased with Stokes work rate in the last couple of games.

I'd go with the same side, with Shaq coming in on the right if available. Love Aff, but wide right his not his position. So then it's a toss up between Aff & Adam.
Crouch gets the nod up top - hard to drop a man who's scored in 4 of his last 5.
I really really hope we can do these, and have the job done by the hour mark, then get Bera on for the last 30, minus any pressure.

Crouch would play Saturday however he was playing due to his height and their set play threat, but he fully deserves to start anyway with his current form

Berahino was getting booed when he was their player so he's hardly going to be surprised or affected by it imo. If anything, the Baggie twats are going to spend the entire game scared that he's going to come on and score against them so he has to be involved.

Yes the fans hate him because of all the sensationalised bullshit in the media etc and the kid hasnt helped himself on twitter but it must be hard to take shit from @bigbaddavefromdudleywba who knows absolutely nothing about what is going on behind the scenes. I think Pulis proabbly does hate him, but even that is blown out of proportion by the media. (he hates all young players anyway).
Really don't think the players will hate him though, he seems to have a good relationship with them if you go by twitter and instagram etc.
Anyway, this game shouldnt be about Saido, let them and their players focus on that. it will be about defending solidly, especially from set pieces and moving the ball quickly around their ageing CB's. and the chump that is Marc Wilson.

A few injury concerns, a few poor showings last night, query as to whether Diouf will be over his ACON exertions.
If Shaq and Johnson are still unfit, but the starting XI from the last game are all fit:
Grant
Bardsley Shawcross Martins Indi Pieters
Whelan Adam Afellay
Diouf Crouch Arnautovic

Grant Bardsley Shawcross Martins Indi Pieters Whelan Adam Afellay Shaqiri Arnautovic Crouch What did you make of Afellay last night? I agree with the rest if all are fit, bit unsure about him.

Afellay is far better inside. He kept coming inside last night and denying us a wide right outlet. We need to play him inside, and someone who will stay wide more on the flank.

I think he was put their to do a job, not sure how late Shaqiri pulled out but I'm sure it was never Plan A. He gets stick for not driving forward and getting involved in loads of goalmouth action but he rarely gives the ball away, is excellent in tight spaces and always knows when to stretch the game and switch the play. Bearing in mind the injury he's recovered from to play 90 minutes I thought it was a 7/10 performance. Never ever underestimate how important ball retention is, as long as there's more dynamic players around him I think he's a great option to have in the squad...

I think Whelan spent more time on the wing than Affelay. He just isn't a winger and he left Baines with half the pitch one time in the first half.

It's TP'a bi-annual big cup tie to show he is smarter than MH . I think he will have spent hours studying our zonal marking and how to get past it. We will have to play well . Not sure it's a game for Berahino looks way of the pace and they won't leave any space for runs . I'd play Grant Bardsley Pieters Shaq Whelan Adam Arnie Diouf Crouch

I personally can't see Shaq or Johnson starting. I definitely think we'll miss his creativity. You cant drop Crouch IMO as he's been in great form. Id give Saido 25-30 minute's playing off of Crouch. Maybe Adam just behind them linking the play up. Id also play Walters, works hard and has got a good goalscoring record at the Hawthornes. Grant
Bardsley Bruno Shawcross Pieters
Allen Whelan
Walters Adam Arnie
Crouch

I'd give Joe a rest for this one .Grant Bards Ryan Indi Pieters Whelan Adam Afellay Berahino Crouch Arnie Yes, I thought Allen was inconsequential last night, and his touch let him down. Needs a rest. Affelay is reliable and creates space for himself and others.

I watched W B on mod this week and thought they were a very strong and physical side, that should not be taken lightly.
The one thing I did notice was that they took any opportunity to take a shot at goal from anywhere outside the box without hesitation.
Personaly I would not play Beharino as I feel these people are so unscrupulous that they would have no hesitation in doing him and us some damage if they could.
I would however put him on the bench, and after 50 mins have him warming up every 10 mins or so just to wind them up.
This once enjoyable fixture has unfortunately degenerated into a bit of a grudge match.
It's time that we got them back after there last few cheating appearances against us.
If we are not up for it, they ceartainly will be.

Not beating Everton makes this a must win to be a Top 10 side for me, big big stakes. That said, I'll take a point the way they're playing right now... going down there for the match so, we shall see....
