Since he's still here and we are paying for him and he can score goals in the Premier League do you think we should try again and see if we can get some meaningful action out of him in what remains of the season ?
It just seems border line criminal to simply write the investment off but it's not my money of course.

Can't see much action for him now. Especially if Berahino can get up to speed in the next few weeks.
As it stands, Crouch needs to lose that place at the min, and you kind of feel we're covered with him and Berahino, in terms of their contrasting styles. Then, you can even probably throw Walters in the mix before Bony. He's been a let down for sure, but at the time probably felt like a good move.

Still time for him to get a move to China I read on Sky Sports' break down that at the end of the Transfer Window Premier League players can't move so even though the Chinese window is still open until 28th of Feb he couldn't leave anyway. Edit: Just read on Wikipedia that the above may not be so but I definitely read it on Sky Sports.

Berra is most effective with a partner. As a lone striker he doesn't work so well. Perhaps Bono and Berra could work well together?

How will Chinese clubs affect transfers in Europe? Oscar's big-money move from Chelsea to Shanghai SIPG has highlighted the potential for more star names being snapped up by rich clubs in the Chinese Super League. Unlike in the major European leagues, the transfer window doesn't close for Chinese Super League clubs until February 28 - but Premier League players cannot move once their domestic window closes on January 31. Just took this extract from Sky Sports about it from this page: www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/10693520/when-does-the-2017-january-transfer-window-close

As far as I'm aware the new rules state, Premier league clubs can only recall a player during a transfer window, Bony would need to be recalled to be sold to China so he's ours for the season.

Yep, as my newer post showed on the Sky Sports article, it shows that even if they somehow could cancel the loan and recall him, they couldn't get rid anyway as players can't leave the premier league after the window shuts anyway. So he's here until the end of the season one way or the other, may as well try to make a use of him.

New loan rules that came in this season state that you can only recall a player from a loan spell during a window, now that has to be agreed by all 3 parties. Now in this instance there was an agreement in place that if a Chinese team came in for Bony in January and Man city wanted to sell then we wouldn't stand in their way. The window is shut now and he'll have to of been registered to play in our 25 man squad. So in answer yes he would have to be recalled, we'd just agreed in advance to let him be recalled if a chinese team came in, however it's too late to recall him now.

Entirely up to the player. On paper of course he should play, him and Berahino could be very good indeed. In practice he has flopped due to being half arsed. As such he should be at least third in the queue. If he does well in training though and then shows enough off the bench then, and only then,he might surprise everyone. In that scenario we will,me included,be clamouring to sign him up.
Suspect he will not be busting a gut in training though.

Hughes has said a couple of times that he is a great addition to the dressing room even though he can't hit the sea fro the deck of the ship at the moment. I just think he's out of form and maybe Berahino could make a difference to him.

It's your money in small part if you actually turn up and pay at the gate or else you're a season ticket holder. I could run faster then Bony with mar lady on me back. He's vank.

27 goals in a season for Swansea as recently as 2014 And 53 in 53 for Vitesse Arnhem.
Only just turned 28, should be at his peak........
And yet we were apparently actively trying to get rid and don't think many of us anticipate him playing a major (or, maybe, even a minor) part in the remainder of the season.
I'd love to know what has gone on with him.
Can only assume he's showing he's totally given up on football and is going through the motions, which does show the pitfalls of dealing with coddled millionaires once they've reached the point where they never need work again. Just shows the importance of picking the right ones, at the right stages of their careers.

I don't buy this lazy attitude stuff either, I know he only scored 2 goals but his hold up play was the reason Allen went through that purple patch. I'd certainly give Bony and Berahino a good go and see what happens. Both are capable of scoring 20+ each in the Prem.
