Too many people react on their emotions rather than taking a quick breather, question what's put in front of them and then after some research (on both sides of the argument) bring forward a reasoned debate. I don't mind a discussion based on differing opinions, but the idiotic labelling because you hold differing values is ridiculous. This is especially pertinent when they base their argument on some emotive b*llocks that has been spouted on Social Media as "fact" and the senseless screaming or name calling that occurs when someone challenges it..... Grow up!! I've had similar experiences on both sides of the spectrum, so the finger pointing is not one way.

Driven by social media and a generation of 'look at me' Social Warriors or useless 'soundbite politicians'. There's bullshit/fake news/post-truth on both sides - see InfoWars, the Canary etc. Not everything can be blamed on your beloved social warriors.

Those sites you mention cater for the useless politicians I mentioned.

Penguin have announced that sales of 1984 have risen by 95% since the rise of Trump... From one new copy per month to one new copy plus a dog eared ex-display copy with a couple of pages missing per month?

People, please give the No Agenda podcast a listen. For 900 episodes they've been deconstructing the media. Conner beat it lads!
As for "fake news" today. Nothing is new in this except online-only platforms are becoming a very serious nuisance to the mainstream media.

Bet you don't know that the queen or any member of the royal family are not allowed in the "city of London" unless they are invited by the mayor of the city of London.reason being it's not actually part of England or great Britain and is not her city, they are more powerful than her and deem her as a possible threat, them being the "city of London corporation". Funny the things they Don't teach you at school or advertise in the public domain, guess we'd start asking to many questions ! This is not a theory by the way it's fact

So is the bank of England but it appears that she has to be invited in order to go there so maybe they don't belong to her after all. Even though she is sovereign of the United Kingdom, Her Majesty the Queen is not allowed to enter the City of London without the permission of its Lord Mayor.

As you might know when the Romans invaded England they made the city of London their own jurisdiction and works much like the Vatican city with their own rules and regulations.it's been much disputed over time with past kings trying to over throw it but as it stands it's still a corporation and the queen has no claim over it.

Wise words, but a bit rich coming from someone advertising a church on every post they make. If there was ever something that is based ENTIRELY on emotive gut feeling and little or no evidential research, it's that! Other than that, I'd agree completely that it's all about exploiting how you 'feel' about a topic these days rather than actual fact or evidence, which is why fake news is so popular at the moment. It'll get called out eventually. Incidentally, Chris Morris Brass Eye is due to be re-run in its entirety soon, advertised as "when fake news was funny". Chris Morris is an absolute comedy legend and clearly decades ahead of his time.

Why they are two separate entities, I cannot tell you from memory.

Chris Morris is an absolute comedy legend and clearly decades ahead of his time. Hey, it's my faith and as far as I was aware I wasn't "pushing it" on anyone nor have I treated anyone with disdain who holds a different view. although I'd enjoy having a beer with someone and debating both sides of the spectrum before moving back onto why we played so bloody awful against WBA. I have my experiences that aren't emotive, but cannot be explained, hence it is called a faith but I don't call myself religious. To be fair, it doesn't really have that much bearing on what I stated above as I'm not actively pushing my message and decrying others, but I respect your view. As for the media, I wonder if it will get called out or gradually "die out" as something else becomes popular. Brexit won't go quiet until a few years after extraction and the economy returns to being market driven rather than emotional forecasting. Trump.... I'll give it a year and when nothing bad actually happens (from his side) and he becomes a "normal" president with traditionally right leaning policies. Personally I am bemused by it all and while not supporting Him, I watch with interest what is really going on, rather then the sensationalist spite that is being thrown out.

Any negative polls are fake news, just like the CNN, ABC, NBC polls in the election. Sorry, people want border security and extreme vetting. Donald J. Trump (@realdonaldtrump) 6 February 2017
This is why the 'right' can't have nice things Only joking of course but here we have 'The Don' saying that anything that challenges his version of reality is a lie. Unbelievable.
