Stoke should reduce all season tickets to £100 and set a new precedent. The amount of TV money washing around is grotesque and it's about time the supporters benefitted rather than the players. It'd also hopefully shame those clubs who charge in excess of £1,000 so their fans can watch multi millionaires prance about. How amazing would it be to be the FIRST club to ever do this? That's a decent point. Matchday revenue accounts for just 8% of our total revenue, so making all season tickets, say, £200 wouldn't have all that much impact and would certainly mean we filled the ground week in week out. Or would do if everyone turned up. You could probably increase the stadium to 35,000 and fill it at those prices but you'd probably have a shitload more dickheads coming along too and maybe more 'part-time' ST holders who don't turn up every game. 30,000 capacity is probably about right for Stoke.

I assume the tv deal means they can't justify increases.
If they increased all season tickets by£50 that would mean
£50x 20000 = £1,000,000
Hardly worth the effort

I suggest the club do away with the made up job of Supporter Growth and Services Manager and use the savings to reduce season ticket prices.

Seriously, the club could do this and it wouldn't come close to being a drop in the ocean. Even 200 would be a massive precedent. As you say, the abhorrent amount of money sloshing around in the league is disgusting. I still find the fact they changed the corner seats, filled with people that had been sat there for over a decade to 'premium', completely fucking gauche.

Well worth the very affordable effort.

The campaign by Malcolm Clarke to reduce away ticket prices to £30 was commendable as is his "Twenty is Plenty". Cant help but think it's a shame "a fiver" doesn't rhyme with anything apt. Thank you. Not just me, by any means of course. I can't say anything at the moment, but there may be a further significant development in the next few weeks ( not Stoke specific). Watch this space ( sorry - don't want to sound like an ITK but don't want to mess anything up either).

I suggest the club do away with the made up job of Supporter Growth and Services Manager and use the savings to reduce season ticket prices. Every club is now required by rule to have a Supporters Liaison Officer, which is basically a good thing, and is what this post is, although I'm not sure the job title at Stoke is one I would have chosen for the role. Most clubs have simply called it the SLO.
