Have Mainz deemed Bojan to be a luxury they can't afford as well? Definitely not what I was hoping from this loan deal, he needs to play.

Conclusions from this - Taylor needs to be recalled immediately, Waring will be appearing for a Conference team next season, Shenton will come back physically stronger and hopefully push on at last, Moha will never make it at Stoke whilst I have a hole in my arse, Sweeney looks like a shrewd purchase and one for the future. And as for Bojan what a conundrum, for those berating Hughes for letting him go I ask why has he now found himself on Mainz's bench as an unused sub? Whether he plays for Stoke again I was hoping he'd tear up the Bundesliga not as a stick to beat Hughes with but to get him back and playing with confidence or at the very least to inflate his transfer fee...... Watched Mainz a few times, they are wank

It is the French third division yeah. Good to see the first goals of the loans coming in! Sweeney, Shenton and Gyollai should all be starting today. Moha and Waring should be on the bench. We missed a game- Wolly played on the 4th March as Wolfsburg 2 won 2-1.

Bad result for Mainz. They lost 2-1 away at Darmstadt who are stranded at the bottom of the table - www.skysports.com/football/darmstadt-vs-mainz/teams/360433Darmstadt played the last half hour with ten men. Bojan came on for the last 12 minutes when they were looking for an equaliser before Mainz' captain got sent off a minute from time.

Great goal by Abdallah today Ah that's excellent! Is he still our player? Strange that we've not had any official mention of him, or did I miss something

I have high hopes for Sweeney.
Indi probably won't be here next season, hopefully though we will only need to sign one centre back with Sweeney offering cover and competition to both shawx and the new CB

If he has a chance of being given a real go here then we should keep him as technically he is good enough. If not then get rid and use the funds to get a dm or cb.

The Bundesliga YouTube channel (which is a great watch, by the way) have a monthly piece where ex-Dortmund and Germany player Patrick Owomoyela interviews current Bundesliga players - this time round it's one of our very own: Not much Stoke-related in there, but it'll provide a small Bojan fix for those that need it

Sweeney and Bristol Rovers won again. 2-1.
Taylor didn't play again.
Shenton and Wrexham lost again.
Abdallah and Avranches drew.
The lesser spotted Wolly made the bench of the full Wolfsburg team.
Gyollai and Nantwich won too.

Not sure if it's been posted elsewhere, but Sweeney will miss Bristol Rovers' next match on Saturday because he has been called up for the Ireland Under 21's for the first time.

Has anyone got an update on Joel Taylor? I had high hopes he'd play well for Rochdale but he doesn't appear to be getting in their match day squad let alone start or come on.

Must be one of the frustrating players ever ... has as much technical ability as anyone in the squad ... but what about the games where he disappears and does next to nothing ?
