It'll tip my hat as it was an excellent strike, but I thought Butland would of tipped it over personally as he has a better high-point saving game compared to Grant who I thought was superb today. Our team let him down giving that free-kick away.

Very good free kick.
Grant not perfect but that is not a routine save.

That's two very fair points , suspect the margins are so fine that's one we can point to losing Jack is the difference between win and draw , same as last year with the fellani, save which I felt won us the game . Team for sure collectively, gave the free kick away but he should still, save it,

I conner fault him from the angle I saw. That strike had a hell of a loop to it, putting it outside any reasonable save. He could have stayed on his line but who does that and surrenders all that space for headers?

It was one of those cross cum shots that sometimes ends up flying in, on a better day Grant would have just thrown his cap on it. Either way it was absoulutely sickening. 30 seconds from celebrating a famous victory and instead we are plunged into an mufc wank-fest by the great and the good, heart breaking stuff in all truth

He could have stayed on his line but who does that and surrenders all that space for headers? Exactly. Great point. United had been chucking crosses in all day because like us, they'd pinpointed that we've been vulnerable to that for quite some time now. Grant could have covered his back post better, but then if they'd scored from an Ibra header at the near post with Grant leaving a gaping space there'd have been just as much consternation over his positioning. It was a brilliant free-kick. There were two teams on the pitch. One costing a hell of a lot more than the other. They were always going to create a moment of magic at some point. The one time they did, they got the goal. Sometimes that's just how the cookie crumbles. We deserved better but they deserved the draw. Gutted, but it feels like we're back on track.

It was just a brilliant strike by Rooney. Not much you can do about that. Even if Grant had been a step back it wouldn't have made any difference.

If it wasn't for Grant we would have been 3 down by then! Christ!

Sometimes you just have to accept that the opposition have scored a great goal and move on.

If it wasn't for Grant we would have been 3 down by then! Christ! So what? Keeper pulls off 5 world class saves then chucks one in it's all on them, that's the nature of being a Keeper. I'm not saying he chucked it in btw.

If we'd have put a man on the back post it would have took that option out for Rooney

Very good goal and keeper had no chance. Annoying free kick to give away at that stage.

Just a perfect strike. No keeper in the world is saving that, but Rooney will never hit one so perfectly ever again. He is generally shit at free-kicks. Im guessing he meant it as a cross and mis-hit into the top corner, then pretended he meant it haha

It was hit with great power in the one place where Grant couldn't get it. Sometimes you hold up your hands and say great goal.
It was a hard earned point and when the dust has settled most will see it as a good point rather than two dropped.

I don't know why we never have defenders on the post from free kick like that and corners.Especially at that stage of the game if I can remember correctly it was always knocked into us in the old days.
