Even in his dotage he is surely better than Papa Dodo, who put in the worst central defensive showing last weekend I have seen since Steven Tweed donned the red and white stripes.

Did I hear right on the radio just now that moyes has pretty much said that its irrelevant who they sign because they are going down anyway?
Think it was Michael Gray that was talking about it and saying why the hell would Defoe want to stay there with that attitude from the manager.
As a Sunderland supporter he sounded pretty furious with moyes.

As a Sunderland supporter he sounded pretty furious with moyes. He didn't quite say that but he may as well have Dave. He said that there is literally no money for any transfers that will make much difference. Looks like this is finally going to be the year that Sunderland drop back into the championship, and with confidence boosting statements like that from the manager I bet the players are right behind him

They were that bad last week I think Lescott may actually improve them.

It's about time they went down. Sunderland are the Coventry City of the Facebook generation.
At least then they can exchange stories with Preston fans about how they were quite good in the 1890s.

I have a sneaky feeling Defoes goals will keep them up and Moyes knows how to organise a defence, they were on quite a decent run of form before we spanked them last week, I think there will be a surprise team dragged into the relegation places at the expense of Blunderland. Gouranga.
