Looks very promising. Local as well. Would be a good opportunity for him to demonstrate his ability.

Really needs to impress. In that tier of football he should stand out. It's a good move for him and Stoke to see how he's progressing.

Should be going to Championship or 1st division at the least. Verge of Premiership to non league ? Backward step for the lad imo

Backward step for the lad imo To go to a club at the level you suggest requires one of those clubs to have asked for him. None obviously have. It will do the lad no harm whatsoever, in terms of his development, to play regularly, mens football, at National league (Conference) level. Lincoln City gave a fair demonstration of the level against Ipswich on Tuesday evening. Good luck to the lad.

Bit of Rough and Tumble, playing regular Men's football at a solid enough level that he can demonstrate his abilities. As mentioned above Lincoln gave a perfectly good account of themselves.

Yep, it was on here somewhere yesterday, can't remember which thread though, maybe the January Window thread?

Its good that he is going to be playing competitive football. But from the fringes of first team premier league to conference is quite a drop. Very surprised that's his only option

I don't see the problem with that, in fact isn't it a good thing? Hopefully that means he'll get in their side and play games.

It'll be good for him to go out and get some minutes under his belt but my gut reaction is he'll never be a first team player for us. I think a lot of us cling on to the hope we'll get a local lad breaking through but I just don't think it'll happen in the immediate future, not with the money we have in the club. Bit of a pessimistic view but there we go...
I'm very much of the opinion if you're good enough, you're old enough. Obviously getting 1st team experience is invaluable but if you've got the talent you'll get a go i.e Dele Alli. I just hope the young lads can make a good career for themselves in the game as much as anything else

I think it will be the making of him. Shit changing rooms, cold showers, muddy pitches and hard tackles from hard men. If he wants to be a footballer it begins here not being mollycoddled in Stoke's academy.

As much as i hope he makes the step forward, i cant see it happening, he's 19 now and doesnt seem like making an apprarence anytime soon.

As much as i hope he makes the step forward, i cant see it happening, he's 19 now and doesnt seem like making an apprarence anytime soon. It seems to be the case for many players in the prem, especially now they have u23 squads. Players can be here til their early 20s and never make an appearance for the first team such is the stock pile of talen in the premier league clubs.

Good luck Ollie lad.
Should be a good move for him in the short term. 1st team football must be better than u23's for his development.
