The first (and only!) female cricket player I'd heard of. At 77, older than I thought, the excellently named captain Rachael Flint has died, but Heyhoe.

Yes, and at least she got to see her beloved Wolves beat us in the FA cup last week. Oh well.

She was the trailblazer for women's cricket and did a great P.R. job making the game more visible. Her dedication paved the way at a time when there was no real interest in the female game.
