I'd love Carroll here. Think he'd do brilliantly for us

For WHU No chance our 2nd. Will get a look in for goal of the season. To be fair it was a very well worked team goal (magical) but it was never going to be goal of the season as that usually goes to piece of individual brilliance. Anyway that Miksyeaitranrnan (however you spell it) from the shit will get it for his offside goal.

Not often you can get that sort of power on a bicycle kick, it flies into the net.

Carrolls go will take some beating for goal of the season.
In fact I'll say right now that it won't be beaten.
Pure class.

Lovely goal.
Charlie Nicholas tried not to praise us for our second and tries to say at first that it was poor sunderland rather than our class and then said "to be fair to Stoke it was well worked"

Super, super finish that. Shame he's always injured. If he got a long run in a good side he'd end up being a top, top striker.
Real shame.

He does have a horse head, but I would like him at Stoke, always rated him, and that is before this superb goal today

Both quality goals. Stoke's more of a team goal and Carroll's a moment of individual brilliance.

January's goal of the month comp is going to be hilarious. Carroll pulls that out the bag and Giroud could still walk it with his scorpion kick.

My claim to fame is that I spent two weeks eating meals alongside Andy Carroll's fiancee's grandparents.
About the most interesting piece of information I gleaned is that he's the sort of guy who spends £800 on a pair of jeans that don't fit him properly, so gives them away to other people. Sorry about that. Nice goal though.

I can't remember who it was on sky that said if the keeper has tried save it then he would have ended up in the net with it ha ha. What a bloody goal tho. Totally different to Arnie but both fantastic in there own right

Only seen the clips of your 2nd but thought superb team goal and likely goal of the day - until Carroll's, which is pure Roy of the Rovers.
He won't finish the season without getting crocked again unfortunately coz there's a decent player (with his feet) in there sometimes as well and his stats when fit are top drawer.

How does it compare with Shaq's at the Euros?
Both are great goals.
These scorpion kick goals, imho, are pure luck. Carroll's was pure quality.

Crouchy needs to roll back the years and get one for his 100th Premier league goal. Also Tuncay never managed it for us despite trying it practically every time the ball was 1ft off the ground. He did manage to kick a Fulham player full in the face with some aplomb though!

I must be of the tiny minority that think giroud's goal wasn't that brilliant, looked to me like he stuck out a leg more in hope than intention. I'd say the same goal that was scored for man u was a more skillfull goal. Carrol's will win though, better than them both for me
