Is it me or are they far too predictable when played to cut inside
The Wolves fullbacks read it every single time, our two best chances were created by them taking on their man and getting to the byline and then crossing it. But even that was far to inconsistent as they aren't comfortable crossing with their weaker foot while sprinting full speed.
That would make you think that if they swapped sides and then could either cut in on their weaker foot or go to the byline in their stronger foot they would do better.
Especially with Crouch waiting in the middle

wingers cutting inside is ok if your fullbacks overlap and can put a decent cross in, ours dont.

I agree with Pugsley on Arnie, but I would prefer a traditional right winger in place of Shaq. I think Deulofeu or someone similar is the type of wide man we need; more direct and crosses the ball more.
He's also quick, which helps.

Arni on the right wing and Sobhi on the left!!!!!
There has been already one game this season, where it worked well

I've been saying this for quite a while! Why doesn't Mark Hughes try it for at least a few games? It's so bloody obvious what they are going to do!

Why does Arnie fall on his arse everytime he puts a ball into the box
Surely his delivery would be better if he was better balanced

I'm not sure why but I think Arnie has slipped a bit this season looked confident last and even his finishing looked reliable . Still a good player but just not as decisive for me

Arni on the right wing and Sobhi on the left!!!!! There has been already one game this season, where it worked well I'm no expert on football formations but, since we started playing with "inverted wingers" I've never understood why we don't adopt a mix and match approach with a conventional winger on one side and an inverted winger on the other. I realise that then means that the two full backs also need to play in different ways depending which type of winger they happen to be behind. On a related but slightly different subject, I'm going harp on again about the merits of Trippier. If you watch the few appearances he makes at Spurs it is clear he is equally good as a right back, a wing back or a winger. When played on the right wing the other day (as a conventional winger) he got two assists for Harry Kane. I can't get my head round why we are not trying to get him (or a player who plays like him) at Stoke because he (and even better, also a left footed equivalent) would be a godsend for any manager, like Hughes, who likes the inverted winger/wide striker formation. Edit - Delofeu seems to have improved since he went to Everton. He is available - we could do worse than put in a bid. Although the current problems with our Spanish contingent suggest he might not want to risk coming.

Why does Arnie fall on his arse everytime he puts a ball into the box Surely his delivery would be better if he was better balanced Or stayed onside? Or moved into space? Or worked back? Or passed to one of our players? Or kept the ball instead of giving it away? Or stopped pouting and rolled his sleeves up for the team? Or stopped rowing with the ref and officials and got involved in the game? Or pissed off abroad and never came back? Saturday, 7th January 2017: Stoke City 0 Wolves 2; the day Mark Hughes, Marko Arnoutovic, Bojan, Shaqiri and Imbula showed how much they care about the fans and the club.

Yes they are way too predictable, which was why Ramadan was so refreshing, playing like a proper winger, going past the man and putting some great balls in, we need one winger at least that plays on the correct side or can use both feet.

Sobhi cut inside as well too though? He's not one for thunderous crosses into the box either. That's my main worry.

Id never question Arnies commitment doesn't always get it right but never gives less than 100 percent.
Shaq on the other hand has masses of skill and potential but just seems to turn up when he wants too.

Crouch was easily the worst attacking player we had yesterday but the lack of stick he's got is telling. It's the flair players fault. Absolutely. There seems to be a witch hunt against the so-called flair players. When Crouch plays, the possibility of a quick break is eliminated. You see the midfielders think about playing the ball through the middle, but they realise there's no point doing that and hesitate-then we have Shawcross constantly chipping the ball onto Crouchs head. Crouch OR Walters should only ever be the plan B on the bench if things aren't going to plan. Bojan is a goal scorer-play him up front with Arnie and Shaq and tell him to get in the box at every opportunity-I'm sure he would score goals and we might even see some decent football! We have to dispense with the Crouch and Walters "dummy tits"

Too in and out(ironically!)for me. I'd sell him tomorrow and I have been saying it since the summer. Just doesn't do enough to affect games on a consistent basis. Given the fanfare, he's been a massive disappointment.
