Or maybe just a cretinous fan shouted abuse at him, ad for my money if players are subjected to random abuse I fully support them giving as good as they get. I've met Muni a couple of times and you just couldn't meet a nicer fella. His Wife, baby and several family members attend every home match. All the more reason to suspect that someone said something despicable to him, in which case he (Muni) has my full support. I don't buy that they should rise above it - it gets a bit wearing after a while. Let them give it back, scares these cowards shitless when they do.

Trouble with cup games, when the usual people don't turn up, had some right divs sitting around me today, swearing at the players throughout the game. Are you in block 8, father and daughter shouting and swearing all game. Trouble is they sit there every week and are the same. Can't wit till next season so I can change seats.

I realise that adding "Like" at the end of speech is becoming common place, but do people not realise that it makes literally no sense at all in written English? So fuckin what..it's how we speak.. who the frig are u anyway? head of English literature at Oxford or what Really that would be more to do with the head of English Language/Linguistics. As you were

As a general point - why is it ok for supporters to throw abuse at players (when it wouldn't be acceptable in the street)?

Sluggish, turned like the titanic, hopeless with the ball and a complete liability on attacking set pieces.

So much so it was laughable. I must admit, I cupped my hand to my ears as it was happening. <silence>

It's clear the team are struggling at the moment if this continues and the fans turn against them we are in big trouble we need to hold our nerve support them to the hilt. Hughes has been building his foundations on very expensive sand, inevitably they are crumbling he has no idea how to put this right he has to stop the rot, he is the instigator of his own problems the fans are turning because they are frustrated by his tactics, team selection etc., I agree we should support the players if they are putting the effort in for our club if not I'm afraid this will get much worse, we are in trouble already Hughes is the manager it is his job to address the mess he has made. Absolutely agree ,he got us into it now get us out of it.Time to pour in some concrete footings.Problem is does he know where to pour it and does he know how much we need.More importantly will he get the finance after some of his expensive failings?

He must be frustrated with 3 at the back he's our best CB going forward I really don't see Ryan fitting in to the system at the moment.

Are you fukin injured again. Seems a bit of an overreaction then. Still, the relationship between the fans and the players has started to sour alarmingly. The club has a very depressing air to it lately. This is a serious worry and it needs sorting or else we will back to the lower depths of English football! Do we want this? FUCKING NO WAY So let's get behind the club and regroup as one. Today was a shambles and Hughes pretty mush said so after in his interview after.

So when Ryan, the club captain a man who's shed blood in the cause over 10 years loyal service, reacts to quite overt vile abuse froms fans he's pilloried. Muniesa who's manged at least 3 consecutive games before being injured and played a handful of games over 4 years. reacts to some possible, potential, maybe, assumed abuse from some imaginary fan and he's a hero because he's got a wife and baby daughter and his family are in the crowd. Ahhhh. Go figure.
We are warped on this board without doubt.

players are not paid to receive abuse from fans. If a fan has a bad day at work, it's not acceptable for a member of the public to abuse him. So what makes it okay when you switch the situation around? Just because the fans pay to attend the games it doesn't give them free reign to mouth off directly to a player who is giving his time up AFTER the game has finished. I hate football fans at times.

Trouble with cup games, when the usual people don't turn up, had some right divs sitting around me today, swearing at the players throughout the game. I'm not a usual person. I went today and supported the side like i have sporadically from the stands for 35 odd years. I heard a lot of moaning groaning and slander towards the players. And it seemed like 'usual' people who were doing that. Faces who i have seen round the ground over the years. Good job the unusual people turned up today and bolstered the usual crowd.

I'd happily take a bit of verbal abuse from a distance for the money they get. Not right in front of face though. Do I not like.
