Does anyone believe Hughes will go after this result??? I don't, no. Coates may we'll turn the pressure up though. If he's going to be pushed it's unlikely to be mid-season, especially when there are plenty of places to be fought for in the league. Depending on where we finish (say 14th-17th), then it might be difficult to see him in post beyond the summer. I would be surprised if Coates did anything in January, but I totally agree with the fact we will only have loans & not a lot to spend. Limp towards the end of the season, and then start a fresh...but with who I don't have a clue

Struggling....Joe Allen,Lee Grant & erm.... Big positive for me was someone sent me the link to Signal, and I gotta say, crystal clear and very enjoyable listen, though the result is shite...Hope I can now listen to it during the day for non footy broadcasts... That doesn't count in the context of the question

I've lost all confidence in Hughes now and think he should go but I don't know who else could improve the current team.
Worryingly Pardew is available but I hope Coates doesn't have his phone number.

Absolute disgrace. We have no excuse to not win that game given the team we have put out. There needs to be a change somewhere and quickly so players like Bojan, Shaqiri and Arnie can be shown development in the way the squad is run and retained/reinspired as they were when they joined.

Attitudes and comments like this will only help making it a self-fulfilling prophecy. Negativity has seeped throughout the club - even when we lose away to sides you'd expect us to lose to. Stoke fans are massively ahead of themselves.
We're talking about fans who leave by the hundreds when we WIN.
Get behind a manager who we know can perform, someone who's taken us that step further in past seasons to 9th. He's taken us to a cup semi final too. When the club is positive, we look unplayable at times. Everything he does now is greeted with negativity no matter what.
People called for the side today. It's failed. Accept that and realise that you're no managers yourselves. Hughes makes his changes and we immediately play better. The game was lost in the first half with that shower of powder-puff sh** you've all been calling for for weeks and weeks.

Long way to go yet but it is quite clear something is going wrong at the moment.

Get behind the manager, REALLY!. It's a results business. Form has been poor for well over a season and yet we wait for this magical tactician to spark the team into world beaters. Not going to happen.

I know the focus will be on Hughes but the spotlight really needs to fall quite sharply on some of those players in the starting line up who produced that first half 'effort'.

I was worried listening to the prematch press stuff. Unusually for Hughes he was sounding like it was a done deal.
He played the flair team that all his critics were screaming for and they let him down. With our thud and blunder players, we play like gladiators against Liverpool and Chelsea and lose heroically and then with our world-class superheroes, we play like half-interested zombies when faced with teams we should be putting away.
I'm certainly not in the 'Hughes Out' camp, but I am pissed off. I really hope something happens, either in the transfer window or the attitude of the team - preferably both.
Hughes in, but keeping my option open.
