Ok, ive visited some horrors whilst watching the potters, Wigans old ground was shite, obviously Vale park but I recall playing Bristol Rovers in the cup (about 94-95!!)and playing at a ground they were sharing (cannot recall name), I think that was the worst of the lot

Despite being a modern ground, West Ham's is the most disappointing I've been to for years. Massively underwhelming and won't be in any rush to go there again next year . I quite like a few of the older, battered grounds though.

I always remember Rotherham's Millmoor being particularly depressing. Shit hole location right next to a scrap yard, horrible away end with seats bolted onto old terracing (the worst of all worlds because there isn't enough gradient between the rows to give you a decent view and no leg room either) and we were absolutely wank and lost in a season where we massively underachieved (00/01). Oxford's old Manor Ground was a dump too and we usually got a pasting.

Rotherham, remember walking past the scrap yard to the ground The scrap yard was actually better than the ground! 😊
Wrexham the year we got promoted was pretty dire too as I recall.

Yes both dumps apart from me does anyone else think part of are reactions are based on results A dump always looks better after a good away win

One of the most disappointing was Leeds when I 1st got to visit it: Having watched the mighty Leeds sides of the 70's and the atmosphere that ground used to generate, to actually go there was a big let down, it seemed so small and pokey and 1 side of the ground had what looked like a big cow shed on a hill, which you never saw on the TV - has changed since, but still not keen. Wigan was truly awful though and my winner. Of all the souless new grounds built ours has to be up there with the worse. All we wanted was a ground with all the corners filled to generate an atmosphere, so what did they build us Also a ground named after a bank and now a bookies - shocking Mr Coates(although I do love you)

Olympic Stadium, West Ham. Terrible terrible football ground. Agreed, terrible football experience, (only made bearable by a cracking day out in London!) whilst some of the old grounds quoted were poor, they were of a their time, Olympic stadium has cost millions to be crap

Blackpool before they did it up
The bogs were just two walls, one for privacy and the other to piss against, open air!
Vale Park is obviously the depths of hell for many reason
Springfield Park (old Wigan) was dire Stockport was (and still is apparently!) a shithole
Went to that cup replay at Bath - superb place for drinking beforehand but a woeful ground! From memory werent we playing Bath City in a replay (having drawn at home first up - a series of shit results v non league - Telford, Nuneaton etc!) but had to play at Bristol Rovers Twerton Park ground?

Totally agree Robo Blackpool pre-rebuild was god awful. That derelict end where you could only use the front corner was dreadful.
Layer road was almost on par and that was crap
Rotherham as mentioned.
For me in recent times goodison park gets a mention. Shit views in the lower tier, shit concourse, shit bogs, and shit food. Needs flattening. Don't ever remember the vic ever being that bad apart from the bogs.

Agree with Blackpool.
Nuneaton Borough was shite, but excused for being non league.
The worst for me was the old Huddersfield ground, total shit hole.

The toilets - sorry toilet - at Layer Road was like the famous Trainspotting scene. For how decrepit and utterly shit the facilities were Vetch Field took some beating....
