"Absolutely absurd wages, absolutely disgusting. Back in my day footballers got a shilling for all their hard work and they were 50000x better footballers too! Proper men back then." - Just putting this now before someone else.

Say enough is enough when players start earning 600 grand a week
Clubs valued for billions
Sky earning hundreds of millions
Is it time to ditch are sky TVs
Start watching local football teams half full stadiums don't look good to sponsors
Before people say it will never work it probably wouldn't
But just because of that should we not try
Give the masses our game back

Either that or start treating fan's like Gods and give them heated and padded seats in the stadium, waitress service and free beer!

I'd be interested to watch one of these Chinese matches, see what all the fuss is about. That wage is just frightening. Earning a quid a second is kind of sickening when you think of the poverty in the world...

Welcome to the end of football I think you might be right for the vast majority of 'traditional' supporters. I watched Leek Town v 'Castle on Boxing Day. A few scoops before the game and a lovely beefy bovril drink at half time. All Castle in the first half then all Leek in the second. Leek get one against the run of play and add a second late on with a penalty and a sending off. Great fun. That's what is supposed to be about isn't it? Fun. Entertaining the working family at the weekend not fleecing punters at the turnstiles and burger bars or by monthly subscription.

Its unsustainable has to be even at 50% tax hes walking away with 15 mill a season wtf bet the ugly twats got a 5 year deal as well plus a massive signing on fee. Just adds more power to players pay me more or i fuck off china madness

Couldn't get away from the stadium for four hours 😊 Bit like the Brit.😁

The Chinese. A great bunch of lads. India & then China were the dominant world economies for 1000's of years. In the late 1800's western economies led by America emerged as dominant due to technology. That technology has now been learned by China (& India) and it should not come as a surprise to anyone that China is once again emerging as dominant. 1.3 Billion potential fans vs England's 50 Million potential fans. If 5% of their population become fans, they outweigh England's entire population let alone football fans. I know where I'd be putting my development dollars if I was in TV.
