On the basis that he'd probably prefer to see Chelsea win then I'm not inclined to take much notice. Also I've already mentally disregarded the Chelsea match - he can field the under 10's or a Ladies XI for all I care. Performance against Watford is what matters.

As much as I loved Huddy as a player, I really don't care about his opinions these days. Great player, but has pretty much fucked everything up ever since

Totally agree about the Watford game mate it's massive and for me a win is a must against a team that have been struggling lately. As for the Chelsea game I think most fans don't expect anything but then again I didn't last season either but we got a 1-1

Yes I agree with everything he says, but unlike the knobs on here, he's asking that Hughes gets in the players and gets them all doing it out on the pitch instead of saying Fuck Hughes off he's wank.

That was probably written through the bottom of 6 wine bottles, but sadly it says a lot about the current situation when most of what he says is cock on.
A bit harsh on Diouf though, who is playing out of his skin, out of his position.

Stagnating is exactly the right word. Whatever you think about Hughes in his first couple of seasons, it is obvious that he has nothing left to give our club. It happens with most managers, even Jose at Chelsea last season. Waiting too long could undo all the good work of the past ten years.

He's right, we have stagnated and tbh there are signs we are going backwards, Hughes needs to be a little braver with his starting line ups and subs, we have a good squad that have shown they are capable of doing what Hughes wants but if he's not going to use them then he may as well move on and let someone else do it.

Best player I've ever seen. But a shite pundit. Massive Chelsea fan, which is fine, but lives too much in the past. Love Huddy but when you read some of his anecdotes then it's always been someone else else's fault

He's being massively hung out to dry and he never shirks, moans or hides. For me that is someone playing out of their skin, for the want of a better phrase. I'm livid with the manager for doing what he's doing to Diouf. It's bang out of order IMO.

Unfortunately we're in for another drubbing, hence the reason why the Watford game will be a "must win" game to get us back on track.

True . I'm not sure he has seen much of Shaqiri and Bojan this season though, as they have been poor in my opinion.

Completely unfair and wrong to pick on Diouf. Unless Bony shows what made him a hit at Swansea, Mame is by far our best striker.

Can't argue with anything he says.
......and after what he did for this football club he deserves a say and some respect.
he raised the level of our football club to heights that we could never have imagined and still aspire too today.

Agree with pretty much everything there apart from Bojan. He hasn't been playing because he's been completely sub par since returning from injury and has made little / no impact in most the games he's featured.

What a breathe of fresh air is to hear a former professional stating what a lot of Stoke fans are thinking. MH is not in a rut and he is becoming too conservative when it comes to his team selection. He appears to have one tactic in mind and that is survival. The previous two seasons we have played with confidence and swagger. I have this thought and it may be born out of MH being uttererly selfish for his own ends. If he finishes a consistent 9th he places himself firmly in the shop window for what he perceives to be a bigger opportunity outside of Stoke. His plan appears to have slightly backfired as our points tally, our precarious league position are dictating how he is now setting the team up. This can be further vindicated by how he is leaving our star players on the sidelines and opting for the safe options.
I would also be contenscious and say the investment in players actually highlights our lack of progress. Coates is a fantastic chairman but the ultra cautious approach means the club is becoming anomious in the league. I am not saying throw caution to the wind but to be serious, credible force you have to push harder on the transfer market. The reality is I feel this will not happen.
Those who mock Huddy and are disrespectful should show more respect. He is sharing his views and like any opionion you can agree or disagree. I tend to be fully behind his comments.

He hasn't been as good but against Leicester he was about our best player. And then he was dropped. It's odd.

I also believe Mark Hughes has a massive disconnect with the fans. He never appears to engage positively and gives the fans the occasional mention. The fact we here about potential targets when we are under most pressure. The fact our high profile players are wanting answers from the manager is a worrying sign.
If you read about how he managed at QPR there are some worrying similarities. I am not saying it is anywhere near that bad but if you dig around and read previous articles to how he managed his previous clubs it makes a little more sense.
I will give him immense credit for bringing the likes of Bojan and Allen to the club, but this is offset by the bewildering players that are still with us

For the simple reason that in what should be his supposed position, that is, a center forward banging in the goals, he's completely shite!! He needs at least 5 clear cut chances to perhaps get one goal and is more often than not unAble to hit a barn door from 5 yards out !! That's why - if he was any good as a center forward, a goal getter, that's where he would be played but clearly he isn't His best performance in a stoke shirt was as a full back in the cup against Chelsea. That kind of sums it all up, doesn't it ?
