www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/574322/Chelsea-4-Stoke-2-Premier-League-Willian-Diego-CostaRead this. They were taken all the way by Stoke, who where ferocious and skilful but in the end it was at the business ended in which they faltered, despite goals from Bruno Martins Indi and Peter Crouch. Stoke have now been hit by several four goal defeats but they are much better than scoreline suggests. They just need to believe more and get their defence in order. Chelsea, often needed last ditch tackles and determination to gain footfall, just had enough when it mattered. That's from a National Paper. Hits the proverbial nail on the head for me.

Went today some great performances but we keep giving goals away . They scored 4 3 of which should have been easily preventable .Grant and Crouch superb Adam and Affelay did well too Diouf grafted . Johnson should be dropped for Bardsley he seems to be struggling and Allen looks tired . Shaquiri was shit and at the end Bojan and Imbula could not get off the pitch quickly enough all three along with Bony need to go . Once again Hughes tactics troubled a good team but the lack of concentration and attention to detail cost us big time

Transfer window bites us in the arse ,again we've nowthe truth is we are just about good enough to stay out of the bottom three but momentum is taking us there . Why We sold our best player on the cheap 18 months ago , we let two defenders go and replaced them with a loan last summer. We replaced one of the best keepers in the premier with a third choice from the championship, we wasted 12 m. On Shaq , 18 m on imbula , 6m on Joselu and got the absolute piss taken out of us by wba where are those now that said they weren't a bottom half rival . Whoever is in charge of. Our transfer strategy whatever their role should be spending their last day in the role , 32 Goals conceded v 16 last year we are getting exactly what we deserve and as predicted without material change it's going to get. A whole lot worse as the mistakes made Summer after summer bite , football is about momentum and we gave ours away 18 months ago and judgement day is arriving for those who were culpable . Recent results of our rivals conspire against your dreadful thoughts. We are in fact not worse of than we were the week before Yuletide or where we were the year before the one that is now ending or the year before whenever that was and we're nowhere near as bad off as you would like us to be

Pre season we would not have expected to win at Chelsea and Liverpool. Whats disappointing is to concede 8 on the back of falling apart against Leicester's 10 men. Unfortunately Shawcross isn't cutting it at the moment and we need a leader who leads by example which it would appear we aren't getting at the moment. Hughes has been good managing a budget for Pete but now it's time to spend on the right players early and move a few on.

However, there's one thing I am sure about: most of the teams above us are a hell of lot better. 18 months ago we thrashed liverpool 6-1 at home and out played Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Those two results are a good indication of where we are relative to everyone else.

Despite losing today we showed that we even can give the outstanding league leaders a though fight! Proud of the team despite giving away very sloppy goals!

I don't 100% disagree with all of the things you've said there Benji. But you can fuck right off if you think slagging Lee Grant off is going to get by, he's the only reason it's a solitary 32 right now, he's been much better than anyone could have expected. Not going down though by a long shot. Swansea, Hull and Sunderland are just too poor to survive. We just need to learn how to defend. Where so I slag grant off he was third choice at derby fact , happen to believe he cloudless be a very good number 2 but not 1 your view on Sunderland is going to be put to the test by our defence mid January Either you don't understand the way your posts come across or you are completely oblivious to any underlying points you have accidentally made but the way in which you articulated your point when you mentioned the signing of grant suggested we had not done a good enough job of replacing butland. We clearly have, and Butland won't play for us again, his injury will not be one he can recover from. We'll need a new and younger keeper than Grant soon but he's certainly good enough in the mean time.

Two goals given away. Adam's half-hearted header attempt put the ball back into our box and Indi had time to get to the dropping ball before Costa but failed. As for their second equalizer, what the hell was Bojan doing dribbling into the middle of our defence only to stumble it to a Chelsea shirt? Save the flair for their half of the field, not our own. We could, and should have got something out of this game other than faint praise from the pundits.
