A very good addition for them in his first term - how will he fair upon re-signing after the Rangers debacle?

Surely this knobs disruptive attitude negates his waning football prowess.
Can't understand why they are having him back

They're having him back because Sean Dyche was on the radio a few weeks back discussing Barton after his complete failure at Rangers and Dyche said he was a joy to manage and he never had any issues with him whatsoever during his time at Burnley. So that answers that question.
However, Barton is one incredibly fortunate no good piece of shit mother fucker to be back in the Premier League after failing in what is basically League 1, or maybe 2 dependant upon your point of view of the waste of time that is Scottish football.
I didn't get where I am today by not hoping Burnley get relegated this season.

why the fuck would any manager want him anywhere near their squad Because he pretty much got them promoted and with hindsight would have been there all season so far not doubting he has some ability as a footballer but the guy is a prick and trouble seems to happen where ever he goes. its a big big risk for possibly upsetting what looks like a settled and together dressing room at burnley (from the outside anyhow)

big reason he failed in Scotland was that he looked out of place. Which isn't the best thing given the difference in standard between the two.

disappointing news, as I quite like Burnley - real club, real fans - and was hoping they'd stay up, till now.

Desperation that ship has sailed and whilst Talk Sport seem to be very patient with him as a pundit he surely is a total prick

Hope Barton takes them down
And then there would be 2 more relegation spots to fill

He's a good player or was, I'm not sure if he will still be good enough for the top level now.

My nearest away game by quite a big margin - although Preston would be even closer if they got promoted. So come on Burnley - you can do it!
I wouldn't want Barton at Stoke - nasty bloke and far too much baggage. But he had a good season at Burnley when they got promoted and their manager seems to know how to keep him focused on the game - so I can quite understand why having him back makes sense for them.

What about the midfielder who's going to be dropped for him? There again, if it's Marney, you're replacing one twat with another

Heard an interview with Steven Ward of Burnley, where he said the Burnley players had a whatsup group and Barton has rejoined it.
I'd say some of the Burnley players will set up a Barton free sub group!!!

Barton got frustrated very quickly at Rangers as he was playing with a group of very inferior players, and he just could not keep his mouth shut, basically telling them how shit they all are and how they are not fit to lace his boots, during a meeting after the celtic thrashing

Personally I wouldn't sign him back, he wanted to leave them in the first place because he wanted to play for a club of bigger statue to Burnley.....And even realistically no club in Scotland is bigger than any in the premier in terms of the football they play.....It could only mean the easier way to Europe attracted him, which means he really doesn't want fight and put in full effort for a club, he wants an easy life and play in the best cup in Europe and if he was good enough for that league surely another top club would of signed him.....They didn't no doubt for many reasons, for me his attitude and ego are a major turn off, regardless of percieved ability you have to earn it with hard work, sweat, blood and tears....None of attributes he shows, he is a bone idle idiot who can play abit, but thats it.....Yes he should be able earn a living through football but no where near his gob thinks he should be.

Joey Barton has been charged by the FA after 'placing 1260 bets in the past ten years'
1260. Not 1261. or 1259. 1260. Glad they got that detail sorted.
