2/10 - One point each for turning up in the dugout for each half.
Leicester handed their arses to us first half. We rightly took advantage.
Second half was an absolute abortion of a clusterfuck. Inept doesn't come close.

Tony waddingtins decision not substitute harry burrows at Hillsboro in the Arsenal semi is the only other time i can recall a manager being so ineffective in addressing an issue the whole crowd could see from minute 60"which makes it th the worst management I've seen in 46 years , like that day I think this day may well have long term repercussions.

3 a good first halve helped by their first half shambles, but it was obvious to everyone bar Hughes that we needed pace and skill against a team who where mainly on yellows, to not use one of the subs and complain about tiredness is pathetic his substitutions are shocking

I'll give him 7 for the first half as it was even stevens until the red card
I'll give him 0 for the second half for his abject failure to add pace (Ramadan/Shaqiri) against a team of 10 men, 5 of whom were on yellow cards
Worst managerial game for Hughes since he came to Stoke imho

Whilst today was shit Hughes is still the man. We are a comfortable mid table team. Over the course of the season he keeps us there. Many have failed to do so at clubs like us. Unfortunately our highs and lows are always magnified. Hence knicker-wetting and high expectations.
Today was fucking shit. I think though one of the next two games will be unbelievable.

I would of given him a 10 at half time, he then lost 7 points for probably the worst half of game management I've ever seen and then a further 2 points for the absolute car crash of a post match interview.

3* some good moves but a fair bit of help from the ref , his team is not fit enough , we give the ball away constantly when under no pressure, our football is too slow far too often and 3.5 years in a bloke who was a centre forward seems to have no clue about signing one , No trust for young players and possibly the worst manager in terms of making substitutions at Stoke in living memory .
No feel good factor tonight I'm afraid , it has felt to me that Hughes is cruising and just doing enough and that is how his team looks , sometimes its good enough sometimes not but its increasingly dull and boring and I hope the club are looking out for and up and coming coach who can put some life and energy back into the team

Zero... Give Ramadan sobhi a run of games while arnie is out Try and get your team to concentrate on scoring the most goals instead of passing the ball around

First half 10. Completely out witted and outplayed Leicester with some lovely football.
Second half and in particular Hughes management skills just forget it. To not utilise the talent we have available and really kill them off was embarassing. If that was us at Leicester and we had 10 men and 2-0 down at half time we would have lost 6. But not us. We well and truly bent over for them. Pathetic Hughes and the team

First half I'd give a 10. The team was working for each other and seemed hungry for a victory. Second half complete opposite of the first. ZERO. Why oh why we we playing long balls and clearances in the second half against 10 men for piss sakes...

I thought the first half was average given the situation we were gifted, the second half was unforgivable.

Baffled by the persistence of Walters up front, Walters on his on, Walters anywhere near a fucking Premiership team. Till seething at his blazé attitude to substitutions. His lack of ownership of the whole trash pile of a situation boils my piss.

Any chance of elaborating on why you've gone for a score that is two marks off absolute perfect for what you saw today?

0 As said elsewhere, his game management in the second half is as bad I've seen. He completely threw away the momentum and handed it to Leicester

Team selection - 8 Substitutions - 2 I'm certainly NO expert, but I can't see for the life of me why he didn't bring on Sobhi PLUS either Shaqiri or Crouch (or BOTH) before Leicester brought on fresh legs and re-grouped. With Sobhi and Shaq running at them, surely we could have put the game beyond doubt with another goal, before they knew what hit them? Or am I being way TOO simplistic?? As it stands, it's absolutely mind-boggling that we gave the game away to a team who we'd run ragged for 60 minutes

4* we could all see it but sadly the management could not.
Never understand why managers think well we hammered them first half, so second half we'll let them play and gain confidence while we sit on our arses and wonder why they're getting so much of the ball and finding space.

Zero... Give Ramadan sobhi a run of games while arnie is out Try and get your team to concentrate on scoring the most goals instead of passing the ball around Without even giving him a run of games, their left back was for the taking and the moment Leicester started to get on top of us, we should have bought on Sobhi to push them back again. First half was pretty even til the red card, thought we had set up wisely to take the heat out of their counter attacks. Second half we should have really turned the screw, it was obvious they were going to do something and we just willfully let them. Can't be any more than a 3

On Wednesday he got a 2* from me, for the Leicester game a 1*
Hughes is a predictable manager - he sometimes acts well to bring a motivated team on the field but he is not able to react to a course of a game

2, we didn't lose. That's the only positive. We were like a boxer who is winning a fight partly because someone is helping hold him down (the ref) and then instead of finishing him off, he goes back to his corner for a rest. In the meantime his opponent sneaks up and whacks him with a chair. We lost because of the subs, or lack thereof, and because of a lack of belief on the part of tjose in charge. Embarassing.

Manner of the draw could have further reaching implications for team confidence.
Could and should have been avoided.
Shape and tactics in the second half were beyond awful.
2 points for the two goals we scored.

Having just calmed down ever so slightly, I have to say it's a 2* from me, we have the personnel to put out an attacking team and to rub Leicester's nose in their current bad form, but for 15 minutes from the start I and those around me couldn't fathom out what line up we were playing, was it 3,4or 5 at the back was it 3 up front were we playing with wingers or wingbacks who was playing in front of Eric on the left? Who was our striker? What I do know is that we were a shambles and only helped out to look good because of the sending off and then Leicester capitulating into chaos. The game for us was begging for change on 60 minutes Shaq on Ramadan on Bony on Crouch on any 2 of them would have been a positive change but Hughes had to wait until we were sitting so deep the inevitable goal came then we totally bottled it, then his answer was to bring on Adam wait until we were staring defeat from a comfortable winning position before giving Ramadan 3 minutes to make an impact. 100% IMHO all down to the manager, then to top it all off he comes on the radio making up bullshit excuses for the obvious wank Xmas present he's just given to us supporters. Gouranga.
