Ah yes
Great memories
Enamel badges
F A Cup Final Day Sales (do they still do that ?)
Anyone remember The Fire Sale, everything stank of smoke (funny enough) and some stuff was actually singed and brown. Pisser.

Is Dennis and Will still there ?
They used to be a girl with shoulder length brown hair, if only I was 10 years older then !!!
Happy days, used to go in before every home game and have a chat with Dennis with my Dad !!

Used to love Bourne Sports (and Dales in Hanley). In the days before JJB et al, If you wanted anything sport-related (esp Stoke Kit) it was the only place to go.
My mum used to get all my standard-issue Adidas T shirts from those sales. I must have worn every colour combination between 1980 and 85!

The fire sale - YES
It really was stuff all singed and smelly wasnt it ?
Sadly, my Mum (who knew I needed stuff for PE) bought me an orange Derby County away shirt from the fire sale for 20p which I quite liked as it was silk (sorry, I know)
That stunk of smoke too !!!

In my formative years, I used to play for Bourne Sports in one of the Sunday morning leagues. From memory, Denis played centre half and his older brother John midfield I think. Remember we won the league one year with three of our forwards (me included!) all scoring more than 35 goals. No binary football in those days!
