New Asian owners want someone sexier to spend their money. One of the more bizarre sackings of recent years though. Will be interesting to see who they've got lined up Their fans seem as perplexed as anyone

Absolutely stupid decision. Perhaps Stoke should sign him up as the number 2 to MH?

Absolutely stupid decision. Perhaps Stoke should sign him up as the number 2 to MH? he's good enough to manage us on our own now. Perfect manager for a club at the top of the championship in need of someone to lead them to promotion.

Can't see anybody who would do better. Birmingham were promised champions league football by Carson Yeung (they didn't get it) and a few years back nearly dropped into League One, they were saved by a last minute goal at Bolton.

This is one of those situations where you kind of hope it really does explode back in their faces.
Couldn't give a toss about Brum either way to be honest - But he did really well during his time there.

Daft decision that I hope they'll regret. Oh well I'm sure he'll get his contract paid up and he'll quickly find another good job. Might be win win for him.

I believe Mark Bowan might be keen on the Swansea job, likely to be vacant again this summer. Gary Rowatt would be the perfect replacement.

Crazy decision. Football is its own worst enemy and the biggest disaster waiting to hit the game is the predominance of foreign ownership.

He was doing a great job ,they sit outside the play offs only on goal difference achieved on a budget on par with the likes of Burton Albion, they have just blown the best chance they've had of going up in years What a crying shame UTV SOTC

I know people chortle at Newcastle, but if we're talking scale of clubs, location, potential and so on, the one club that under performs more than if not all then nearly all, it's Birmingham City (sorry StaffsVilla) but that city is huge, it dwarves Stoke on Trent, its location and all that but still the blue noses are proper second rate. Mind you, the ground is horrible and I'm not at all partial to blue kits, particularly that rubbish royal blue. Everton just about pull it off but all the same. Birmingham City. They just put me in mind of Gary (good evening fight fans) Newbon and his rectangular spectacles. You still with me? I could go on like this for hours...

Mate don't be sorry just understand that they will never be the main footballing attraction in the West Midlands as long as Aston Villa are in existence, the same applies to WBA and their 24,000 singing pride of the Midlands They've always struggled to attract the support we do and have always had lower attendance's than us other than a short period in the 70's (2years I think) when they had Latchford Francis and Hatton up front ! They could I agree be a really massive club If we weren't there

Loyal fans. Shithouse club. The fat pig in knickers and porn brothers suited them down to the ground.
The Port Vale of the West Midlands?

Bizarre move. In three years he's taken them from next to bottom to the edge of the play offs with a net spend of around 0.
Obviously can't speak for the style of the football. He could be another hoofer for all I know!

Birmingham City has been a basket case club for as long I've been watching football. From Ken Wheldon, the Kumars, the Dildo Brothers, Carson Yeung and now this lot, they've been run by fruit loops.
I was genuinely surprised by this news, but in hindsight I shouldn't really have been.
