Saturday is such a fickle day for me, we win I'm all smiles and wanna make the most of the day, but when we loose it makes feel like crap all day, I become a moody sod and want chuck my toys out of my pram so to speak......Why is it football has such a grip on your soul, even today I expected us to loose but hope for the best, I still have a face like Jack Dee.

If we lose by playing absolutely shite then I'm a foul bastard for the whole weekend. Yesterday was alright I guess, but it still does dampen the mood a bit.

I used to be like that but age has bought more balance to the perspectives on it all.

I always have a Match of the day strop on when we lose. I can't watch our game on there if we lose. I have to change the channel when Stoke come on. Sometimes after a really bad result i dont watch the whole show.

Read the words underneath. I did actually laugh out loud when I read it but don't you mean Sunday? No I reckon he means Satdee - Calgary being in a differrnt time zone. Re the OP - not any more. Enough aggravation in life to look for extra stress If I couldn't leave my emotions in the stadium at full time I would hsve to stop going.

I just hate losing to those wankers.
Words cannot describe just how much I despise absolutely everything about that vile bunch of whining, calcium deficient, one eyed toss pots.
The rest I find quite easy to roll with these days.

It's the same with Anfield and Old Trafford. I feel a lot worse when we lose against the Burnleys, Watfords and Bournemouths at home, like we have done in the last two or three seasons. I do despise Arsenal, though. The only team I feel genuine contempt for.

I can't help but be pissed off when we lose, even if we've played really well I still hate all the team But then when we win, again regardless of how we've played, I wana marry the whole team
I can't help it, it's a backward way of living but it's makes for unpredictable weekends!

I used to get irate if we lose but not now just keep my thoughts to myself and carry on. Years ago when we lost vale 3-1 in the fa cup i was only a young laddie but i did have a foul strop when i got home and beat up my pillow

Yes, its just you. The rest of us are perfectly fine. Just laugh it off, give a sporty handshake to the opposition fans and congratulate them for being the victors of our sporting dual then crack on with the rest of the weekend in good spirit and humour.

If we lose, it titses me off a bit, whether we have played well or not. Lately, I've become a bit more 'relaxed' about it, and accepted that we'll lose sometimes, it's what we are, a mid-table side.
It bothers me less now than it did 10 years ago, though if we do lose, I can't bear to watch any of MOTD. I've also found myself less interested in non-Stoke football more recently, I've almost no interest in watching any game that doesn't involve Stoke.
The Mrs used to say I was obsessed by football. I think I'm miles away from obsession these days.

Depends who we lose to, I turned up to the ground yesterday having already accepted we'd lose so I really wasn't arsed when the inevitable happened. It'all be the same case for the Chelsea and Liverpool games.
If we lose to Southampton or Leicester though I'll be fucking livid.

Normally I can take a defeat, particularly if the other side played better than us, but I have to say I was disappointed yesterday, I really thought it was going to be our day with the early chances we created and getting the penalty. Then when they scored reality kicked in and I guessed we were in for a hard to bear afternoon, particularly with a number of our players not at the races.
So last night I accepted the defeat and drew satisfaction from the facts that we are 10th and still over half a season to go, and Arsenal have to come to us.
Then today I am livid again because I look at the internet and see the massive campaign Arsenal fans have launched to get Charlie suspended. How I wish we had taken our chances now; we had 5 shots on target at Arsenal which is brilliant for us, but still went down to what looks on paper like a comfortable win for them.

I used to be like that but age has bought more balance to the perspectives on it all. I've got worse with age, I can't deal with defeat anymore, I wish I could just see it for what it is but when it comes to all things Stoke I just have a complete sense of humour failure.

The fact that we went one nil up yesterday and lost makes it even worse, honestly thought we'd get something when we scored.
