I also want to note, that it seems to me that no other manager for a long time has fallen for the people Stoke as Hughes as, he has gone out of his way to support local businesses and charities, we all know he hates the camera pointing at him, but behind the scenes he does a massive amount....I'm sure Pulis played his part as well, but at the time Pulis was pinching himself the whole time thinking "what the fuck are we doing here" and Hughes in his first season thinking and saying "I've got a much better footballing group here, than I thought previously" he noticed the potential from the start.....And results were never sparkys fault, we had really bad injuries to key players, and unless Hughes started to kick volleys at them all in training how is that his fault?......I'm not even sure the point I'm trying make anymore I'm drunk.

There's been loads for many reasons. I always remember Wingy scoring against West ham and thinking it had come together well. Chelsea in the league cup last season was ace. That took sheer bollox bloody minded resilience. When some claim the Hughes set up is lacking in spirit reflect on that Chelsea game and bear in mind they are talking absolute rubbish. Everton away as well..ANd West Ham. We can and have shown a fighting a spirit with Hughesy. Been tonked as well

6-1 The Chelsea games Man City Coatgate
I had a good feeling about MH as soon as he joined. I can see him ending his days here. I'd be ok with that. He's a good, honourable man. Top ten finishes at various stages, 8-10th, bringing through some youth, signing class players, keeping us excited, battling the dips in form and a few semis or a final. Europe maybe once every few years. Don't be too greedy. It's the best that most reasonable people could hope for. I'm not in the "we should aim for 4th" BS camp. Keep it real. A well run club, some peaks some troughs.
We have a good man at the helm, backed by a Saint. Some should be a bit more grounded and realistic.
I think MH has a ten year blueprint.

When he launched his jacket, think we were getting battered by Newcastle or something. Proper won me over that day. Red card bonanza he went up in my estimations that day with his jacket 😁

Yeah, the coat throw at Newcastle sticks out because it encapuslated how we all felt at the time - especially because we were actually playing quite well before the red cards came out.
Personally Man City at home if my fave. Shaq's through balls and Arnie's run were beautiful to watch.

Signing a full back; a first for the club for around 9 years.
