The bloke could easily have been a Utd or Liverpool or whatever fan like so many of his generation so the fact that he has always spoken up for the Vale scores him points in my book. Good mature attitude about the current situation too .

The one thing (probably the only thing) I do like about Robbie Williams is that he's loaded and Vale fans keep thinking one day he'll come in and buy the club and save the day........ he won't which makes it funny. Actually, make that 2 things, despite it being Vale you've got to give it to him saying he supports them and isn't another pointless glory supporter

Because of all the stick he'd get he can't go to the Bet365 in normal clothes. Instead he has to don a "thin suite" and go dressed up as Nick Hancock.

Got be honest, I've always thought good on him for not being a glory hunter.....I think some fans are still bitter about he didn't bail us out when we were in a right mess (although not to sure if I remember it right I was a kid when it all happened), but if he had he would of been quids in now however in saying that we may never have got to the premiership if he had.

Just as well for him that it wasn't at 'one of the other London clubs' - yes, that one. Imagine THAT! He'd be a marked man round 'ere! He does do a lot for Charity, though, and he thought up 'Soccer Aid' with Jonny Wilkes. Good lad at heart. I just wish he was a Potter!

Better work schedule than bloody Santa if it is.

Credit also to him putting money into charity and voluntary groups with ' Give it some " in Stoke
Further proof that he has not forgotten his roots.

Gloryhunting twat, what's up, have Chelsea kicked him out of their exec boxes??? The box at Chelsea was a gift for his manager, David, who sadly died this year.

Always liked following Robbie. Saw him once at a Stoke-Vale derby game outside Vale Park. All the Stokies giving him shit and offering him on and he gave the same back as a true supporter should.
Despite living in California he's never lost the accent and cheeky sense of humour that you can only find in the Potteries.
I always guessed he was a secret Stoke fan. Wonder what OneValeFan forum will make of that comment? Probably they will try and disown him now, theres still so much hatred and jealousy on that board towards Stoke

So, to add to the myriad other reasons not to like him, I can now include that he is a bloody glory hunter trying to bask in the glory of our Premier League status as a johnny-come-lately Stoke supporter!

Fuck knows what goes on behind the scenes at that club, but if Robbie Williams isn't willing to spend a few hundred grand on it, then there's something seriously wrong.

TO be fair to Robbie he stuck by his local club and didn't follow the likes of Utd, Liverpool etc and that to me shows he is a proper fan. I woulkd much rather have a beer with a proper fan of any team than a plastic gloryhunter type fan
Also great comments regarding us and nice to hear
Defo gone up a notch or two after reading that

At the end of the day his charity and wealth does a lot for north staffs, as does the success of our club so I see no reason why he'd be anything but supportive. He might not be everybody's cup of tea as an entertainer but what he has done for the region is way way more important than a territorial dispute between two football clubs and for that he will always be a top bloke in my eyes.

Spot on, whatever people's view of him he's done more for the area than the vast majority of us could ever dream of, good on him, it would have been so easy for him to turn his back.
