Don't think it has ever happened before, though Blackburn were pretty close, looking at Leicester's next 3 games I can see them in the bottom 3 by Christmas...

I think it's a distinct possibility this season as Leicester do seem very poor. Maybe they will improve sufficiently enough to survive once they've been knocked out of the Champions League. I think the third spot (with Hull and Swansea seemingly definite to go down) could be between Leicester and hopefully West Ham.

Leeds were pretty close in 1992. Only a couple of points from the drop.

1937 Manchester City was the last time.
I'd love it if Lestaaaaar went down.

I'd love to see Leicester win the Champions League and bring it with them to the Championship. 😁

It does make me laugh how a lot of them are saying they want to go down, proper football again, good away games again. I even saw one which said we've won it all up there lets go back down and enjoy winning the championship. Deep down, not ONE true fan wants a relegation - they are hating every minute of prem football at the moment and despite winning the league last season, they'd be a laughing stock if they went back down. If you guaranteed me a league title but relegation the following year, I'd probably take it, but not one of those guys expected to be in the fight they are this year. Hope they go down.

Obviously talking personally I hope we turn it around, but when you guys were down there or near there, I said at the time you wouldn't be relegated or even in the bottom three because I simply felt you were a very good team (and still are of course). Hopefully for us it's just a case of a dip in form which we haven't been used to, as opposed to a long season of battling for survival. I'm not sure really, I still have faith in this squad though.

If they go down (and they won't) it will be the worst managerial job of all time. 12 months on from being probably the best.
It's pretty clear now why Vardy turned Arsenal down.

I'm more concerned with what will be a minimum of 6 months mourning if the media darlings Swansea get relegated! I can just imagine the fucking cliches oozing out of some cunts like Andy Townsend. "Play football the right way" "Too good to get relegated" repeat to putrid fade!

There was a post last year where I was in conversation with someone about rather being in our position than Leicesters. I said "Check this post this time next season, and that's why."

With limited resources available to Leicester compared with most of the others in CL it's not surprising they are prioritizing that competition over the PL. Now it's squeaky bum time for Claudio. I hope they make it because they give reason to hope for teams like us.

They will be fine. Got enough quality to pull through and won't be in the Champions League for much longer.

But they still have less resources than the teams still left in the competition. I'd rather have them do well than any of the "big" teams.

How many the Leicester squad would you want to sign for Stoke on this season's form ? I can't think of anyone in particular. Vardey - definitely not, Mahrez - doesn't seem bothered this season, Drinkwater - not too effective, Schmeical maybe as a number 2 goalie ? None of the others including Slimani would really improve us IMO.

Ipswich won the old First Division in 62:and were relegated two years later.
They lost 9-1 at the Victoria Ground a game I recall going to as a very impressed 9 year old.

Like freaky friday!

They really miss Kante

Not a chance they'll go down.
For me its Swansea, Hull and West Ham.
West Ham look truly shocking at the moment and if they're still down there by Christmas they're nailed on relegation candidates.

A position in the prem is the trophy teams like us and Leicester should always aim for. That is the trophy that will increase the gap between the likes of us and the clubs who are up and down. Year on year improvement with strength in depth of squad and importantly reputation is the target.
Last year Leicester could have fell in a barrel of shit and came out smelling of roses. This year it's back to reality and hard work.
I see them around 13th 14th and safe, the sooner you get out of CL the better and lose all the media hype which is not helping you.
