Nice to hear. I personally wouldn't rush him back though. Granty is playing very well. In fact, his stats compare with some of the best in the league. Let's just get Jack back to the level of fitness he was before his injury.

Will he be on the bench tomorrow? Anything's better than the hapless Given or Haugaard.

Can we please wait for the official word before jumping to conclusions?
Could be completely unrelated to his ankle.

Not good. Certainly not the fault of the training / medical team. They have to try and get him back. I just hope England are paying us compensation.

I said earlier in the season that we should prepare to be without Jack all season, and it's not beyond possibility that his original injury could even end his career. We need to sign Grant permanently, and we then need another backup. There is no way we can rely on Jack returning this season, or indeed ever.

Yes, when there is positive stuff to say. With Jack...where is it? He's very obviously still having problems and nowhere near ready for a first team return. Out for the rest of the season at least.

Career being over is fairly remote, but this has dragged on so long now that we have to consider the possibility.
Out for the season is, I reckon, a strong possibility.
An additional point is that after a season and a half out, will he actually be any good when he returns? We don't have a good record on players returning from injury recovering their previous form.

Your medical qualifications are?? Youve seen him recently how many times?? Don't need medical qualifications to know when a player is f*cked. When Bojan got crocked, I was flamed for saying we should get him back to fitness then sell him, as he'd never be the same player again. How'd that turn out? You get a feel for these things. Jack is still crocked, clearly. After so many false starts, you have to question whether he's ever going to fully recover. Mindless optimism isn't really my thing.
